Call of Duty.
Don't get an xbox if you like playing online match making. It's really dumb IMO. ps3 hosts servers.

Modern Warfare 2. It may come out in a little more than a month but it looks and as far as I can see, plays better than CoD4 and Resistance combined imo. If you can wait till Nov 10 then totally get MW2.

my comments aint always needed but he didnt need to put [PS3] resistance is a ps3 only title so putting 'Cod vs. resistance' would have done so seeing as he pointed out he had a ps3 i thought id comment on that I'd like to see your sources (creditable sources) for your info seeing as it still just looks like fan-boyism to me. Honestly my bad if I'd heard the same 2 arguements 2 many times. I mean i can easily dig up what you just stated but stated by someone else. And then dig up the counter argument. This goes both ways PS3 and Xbox 360. Offtopic: I have both consoles and I enjoy both I don't have a Wii, but will probaly soon if Monster Hunter 3 isn't ported to PS3, and I can say most of these debates about the consoles seem to only to serve the purpose of making the buyer not feel remorse about their choice. You want to say you brought the superior console so you don't regret buying it. And the second thing these console debate do is fuel the publicity of said console, nothing more. [SD]Master_Wong wrote: to be a fanboy i would have to be dedicated to the xbox without a doubt im not im dedicated to the best gaming system Hmm...And how is the Xbox 360 in your view the best game system? which although is not 100% due to ps3 having certain advantages the xbox will attain its full potential while the ps3 will not so why pay more for a console Honestly the price arguement is very old, and somewhat redundant. more for a game which you can just get on a cheaper console for a cheaper price? New games for ether console are $60 I don't see even as I check now COD4 or COD MW2 being any cheaper on ether console.
i could get technical with you and explain how even the ps3's 8 cores (7 in use) are less efficient then the xbox's 6 cores or how the blueray player isnt very good at playing games thus you have to install some games but im not going that deep. O but do explain, I mean I can explain why what you said was all total fan-boyism but Im not going that deep.
il leave the arguement on this simple FACT most cross-platform games are designed on the xbox 360 then ported accross to the ps3 its done this way as its easier to make them for the xbox first, Seeing as Xbox 360 doesn't use blue-ray I'd see why it'd be easiler to do it for Xbox first than PS3 yet I fail to so why this is a bad thing? Or is this just random ranting meant to be taken serously? its also why games get delayed is it takes time to properly port them accross sometimes taking longer then expected this is why the ps3 will always be in its shadow. It will always take long if a game is being ported been like that since the NES, N64, Atari etc. Again should I take that last statement "ps3 will always be in its shadow" serously or just a random fan-boy remark, as I fail again to see how port games put one console in the shadow of the other? I thought it was the exclusive's but maybe I'm wrong.
argue the toss out of it if you want i see no other real value to the ps3 other then a glorified blueray player Therefore you choose to be just ignorant of pretty decent and good games that the PS3 does have and just blindly love your Xbox 360? Sounds pretty fan-boyish. and free internet but iv heard an online rumor this may become paid feature before its life is out i cant prove it but would make sense they aint even going to break even with it All of what you said can easily be summed up by "online rumor".
lastly my serious oppinion has already been said in this thread cod:mw2 is out soon just wait a little bit

lastly my serious oppinion has already been said in this thread cod:mw2 is out soon just wait a little bit i no where said the ps3 didnt have good games please quote where i say they are shit and about the processors xbox 360 runs a PowerPC Tri-Core Xenon (aka its a mac based processor just a funny fact) non the less it has 6 independent cores each can run a process without been effected by the other cores ps3 runs a Cell Broadband Engine it has 8 cores, 7 used each core runs along side each other meaning if one of these cores is slow all of them are slow as they cannot move onto the next process until all cores have finished their process im not bashing it as a bad processor just bad way of running things fyi porting is a bad thing usually (not always so dont go picking into this) just look at the ps3 orange box and tell me whats wrong with that i do want to make it clear im not calling the ps3 shit but for gaming you may aswell get the xbox its CHEAPER (yeh shut it) and for the most part has all the same games and a lot more exclusive titles which are good call me a fanboy we'll see when the next console comes out which is more practical il get that one i used to play playstations.

and about the processors xbox 360 runs a PowerPC Tri-Core Xenon (aka its a mac based processor just a funny fact) non the less it has 6 independent cores each can run a process without been effected by the other cores
ps3 runs a Cell Broadband Engine it has 8 cores, 7 used each core runs along side each other meaning if one of these cores is slow all of them are slow as they cannot move onto the next process until all cores have finished their process Link plz, I'll look this up later if you yet to show any evidence.
im not bashing it as a bad processor just bad way of running things
fyi porting is a bad thing usually (not always so dont go picking into this) just look at the ps3 orange box and tell me whats wrong with that "(not always so dont go picking into this)" just made this reason completey redundant.
i do want to make it clear im not calling the ps3 shit but for gaming you may aswell get the xbox its CHEAPER (yeh shut it) The Pioneer LaserActive released by Pioneer was retailed at $1400 so I honestly do not see $100 more than the Xbox elite to be such a big deal. and for the most part has all the same games and a lot more exclusive titles which are good Honestly I could say something here but games are so subjective themselves I won't.
call me a fanboy we'll see when the next console comes out which is more practical il get that one i used to play playstations. Unless the NES/Atari/Vectrex (lol) is remade I'd doubt they would make another revolutionary game system in the gaming industry.
You've yet to address most of my points. My bad the PS3 and the Elite are the same price now.

You've yet to address most of my points. My bad the PS3 and the Elite are the same price now. its basic knowlage but here it is in more detail Quote: Xbox 360 uses the triple-core IBM designed Xenon as its CPU, with each core capable of simultaneously processing two threads, and can therefore operate on up to six threads at once. check the xbox 360 and any other sources to prove this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xbox_360cant find a link for playstation 3 could email my tutor from college if its that important to you i had to study hardware for gaming on my course since when has porting not been bad something is designed for one system and patched to work on another that just aint good cba to argue more your acting a hell of a lot more like a fanboy then me by blindly defending the ps3 go look up some facts explain why you feel it is better (not just on a hardware basis but price and games) xbox 360 elite is the same as the normal one just has a large harddrive and is black so im just arguing the xbox 360 arcade

The PPE was designed specifically for the Cell processor but during development, Microsoft approached IBM wanting a high performance processor core for its Xbox 360. IBM complied and made the tri-core Xenon processor, based on a slightly modified version of the PPE.[30][31] otherwise saying the ps3 cell processor is the mommy in some respects to the processor used in the xbox combined with the old powerpc Architecture this contains all you need to know where you get it or not isnt my problem and im not gona explain it for you, you wanted to know you got http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cell_(microprocessor)#Architecture for further references and your laziness here is the link to the xbox 360 processor which you failed to click on the hyperlinks posted on the original wiki i linked you http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xenon_(processor) oh and the new cell processors now have an upgrate which means they run more like how i explained the xbox cpu work it gave a 5x proformace boost relevent or not?

So name the game that is totally utilizing this awsome cpu to it fullest capabilites and is totally blowing thhe PS3 outta water for me plz? I mean what use is a awesome cpu if you don't use it to its full potential right? I mean a awesome cpu is totally a good reason to ignore the other console. I mean who cares about the game themselves its the minor difference in the cpu that sells the console not the games.Imma stop if you can't appreciate the games that come out on both console and insist on only one console than so be it. NES FTW Bitches. Edit: The arcade is only $100 less than the PS3 therefore I really don't see the point of playing the cheaper/affordable card anymore.

Silly fight is silly. Hmm didn't see this post till now, well I'm always curious about the reasons why one console is better than the other. And I'm not really fighting, merely questioning his reasons.

Show me in all my post where I took a definite stance behind the PS3, where huh?in saying that i have played resistance fall of man and it was a really fun game, didnt like the multiplayer but non the less the game was fun as for many other exclusives. this is where it ends unless you have something more useful to say rumpleKillskin wrote: [SD]Master_Wong wrote: an xbox ps3 does have good points but your better off selling it and getting an xbox fyi new guy wrong section Going to say this nicely. But here is the thing. Majority of the people who buy a system get them to play the games they want and with the people they want to be with. The fact that you need to try to convert every PS3 user is sad. What do you hope to accomplish? Do you feel special that you are using the "right" console and not the competitors? The fact that you are trying to win an argument that isn't winnable is sad. There will always be one more factor on the other side that neglects everything that you stand for. Just stop it now. I really don't care for you "how games are made" argument. That means NOTHING when it comes down to buying a game. He has two games in mind. One of the games is for PS3. If he switched then he wouldn't have the same possibilities as he would with his current situation. He never asked you for your view on consoles, did he? You felt the need to come in a thread with your false sense of knowledge on a topic that was never asked for to begin in the first place.
