I heard it's lagging out the ass on xbox one. Might want to stay away from that version, anyone considering it. I was gonna get it but I lost interest sorta..
How is it working on the PC? Lag? DCing? Frame rate horrors?

poor xbox one. haven't looked into it much because the game doesn't interest me enough to purchase but i've heard of one of the maps having some framerate issues, don't know the name but it has a lot of water and that's the suspected cause (pc)

PC is running smoothly. No lag, no DC, no FPS drops on my end. Servers are easy to find and the active matchmaker does its job without a hitch. That bit of news actually makes me feel a lot better about spending the extra $ to build a PC. The parkour system in this game is awesome. Nothing like trying to ninja mount an enemy titan on stealth or from the air. The game is purely online. Even on campaign mode, the opposing group is made up of other players and AI.

Just hearing you talk about it makes me want to buy the game already! I'll probably get it next month when the cashflow is looking better

I was wondering if the new-gen consoles can really handle the graphics during intense scenarios. I read that Titanfall on Xbox One isn't even running on full 1080.
I wonder how MGS:V will hold up on Xbox One and PS4. It blows that they're not doing a PC release on it but oh well. I might get a PS4 for that game and Destiny.
Things about Titanfall:
I'm glad that although being inside a Titan is always fantastic, I still find myself going in and out of mine during the fight to be more combat effective. Titans are awesome because, well, it's a gun-wielding bi-pedal mech with a gravity shield, large cannon guns, rocket salvos, and you can squish people running in front of you. Being on foot is great because you can sprint, double-jump (thanks to mini belt thrusters), run along walls, jump from wall-to-wall and run along them (if you want to extend wall-running time), and "rodeo" on enemy and friendly Titans.
There's no stupid distracting heavy guitar riff every seconds for some achievements. There are achievements but they don't make it so that it becomes an annoying distraction that ruins the immersion of the game.
Instead of perks, there's a "Burn Card" system that lets you select 3 of the "card perks" you receive after a game to be used once before they are discarded. The effect of the card will last until you die or the match ends. It could be something as simple as "40 seconds less wait time for Titan" or "Increased movement speed". Either way, it's a one-time use until you die.

I'll pick it up if I see it on some substantial sell. I think I rather wait for Titanfall 2 where they will hopefully use a better looking engine.

But I definitely see articles of it lagging and having bad frame rate, not to mention my sony fan boy brother was loling about it for hours when the issues were being reported at the time. Also, hi dom, long time no see.

I don't see anymore complaints about lag or frame rate so maybe it wasn't anything too big I guess.

2 things I HATE about this game.
1. Aimbot pistol - This weapon actually discourages player engagement, the wielder ends up chasing the target for an extra 3-4 seconds when he could just kill him with any other primary gun within 1 second.
2. Team balance - Even though I'm usually on the winning side, this is something that needs to be included ASAP. I'm surprised they didn't ship this with the game, what were they thinking

another issue for me is: shotguns. they have incredible range with almost no spread.
on cod2 you had to be point blank to get a 1 hit kill, leaving only trench warfare an opportunity to carry a shotgun. in titanfall, you can shoot someone at like 30 feet for a 1 hit kill.
also, atlas seems weak to me, i think the other two titans are much stronger it seems =S

You can pump 2 shots into someone from far away and they'll still die... 70% of my games, everyone is just running around with a shotgun, pretty lame :|

CrimsonNuker wrote: Yes, I wanted to mention that too, but in my case, it seems like there is a lot of spread, but very high range/damage ratio. yea, there is spread, i didnt explain well lol. with most fps's with shotguns you can get the guy in your sights and pull the trigger and miss. with titanfall, if they are in your sights, its 1 hit kill. if you arent exactly aiming at them, chances are you will still hit but not always kill them even though its quite likely compared to what you would expect in other fps's a good example is lots of pilots jumping around off walls and shit to attempt to make it harder for you to shoot them, with a assault rifle this is definitely the case making it really hard to secure the kill. instead pick up a shotgun and just pull the trigger for the instakill. its frustrating struggling to kill a dancing pilot for them to just 1 shot you and watch the replay and notice they didnt even aim correctly for you. i appreciate skill but sometimes shotgun kills remind me of the "noobtubing" days

Yeah glad penfold brought that up. I hope shotguns get the same stigma they got in COD2. Anyone that used the shotgun was a noob, and it seems even more OP in Titanfall than it was in COD2. It's got way too much range, and it's way too easy to get lucky with it. Takes virtually no skill and it makes the game more camper friendly for people that like to wait doorways and strong points. Even the smart pistol takes a little more skill to use.
The only other thing that frustrates me so far is the time it takes to break a grunts neck when you go to melee them... I'd rather kick them, but they just happen to have their back to me. Doesn't make any sense to have that action in there in a multiplayer.
Probably one of my favorite FPS as far as the lack of OP snipers, and serious camper problems that plague a lot of FPS games.

Probably one of my favorite FPS as far as the lack of OP snipers, and serious camper problems that plague a lot of FPS games. still a tonne of campers in my games, camping on certain roofs or in certain buildings with the shotgun. the sniper that i tried in beta was not too bad but a little under powered for a sniper rifle however thats only because a shotgun deals more damage at the same range lol. also the sniper rifle looks great on some maps and useless on others which makes me feel like maps were designed in mind to use certain weapons, creating a generic style of gameplay but i hope that doesnt become the case or we will see cod4 mp all over again -.- oh and COD2 rifles only FTW

I tried Titanfall for the first time yesterday, and I really liked it. I only got to play 2 rounds, so I'm still trying to get used to it, but I am positive! Can't wait to get some more time
