I can afford it but I don't see myself playing WoW like I play SRO, and yes I pay probably more for SRO than you would for WoW.

Out of curiousity, what is it about SRO that you think you'd enjoy more then WoW? I was like you myself, and then I actually tried it and loved it, surprisingly. (free trial) O_o

I tried the trial too and I like it too. But the thing that turns me down is the graphics. I like the (semi) reality in SRO, real chars, real history (mostly). WoW is somewhat kiddy with the graphics. That and I got alot of friends in sro which I would loose if I go to WoW : )

Cartoons aren't by definition kiddy, that's the error everyone makes when judging wow only on graphics.

Honestly, I couldn't see WoW work with any other art style to be honest. It stays true to its RTS art, and it puts a light tone on a rather dark adventure. (if you read the quest texts anyway)

Plus, WoW surroundings really look stunning in high res. Seriously.

They look amazing even on low. O_o

I need to get more RAM for my machine so it can handle the longer draw distance. :(
