Post subject: Euro Info - Chars/Classes/Combos Posted: Wed Aug 08, 2007 2:36 am |

Okay, so this is what I've come up with on my spare time, a little extra info for those still ignorant to the European side.
The Classes
As you already know, there are 6 classes a Euro char can become.
Warrior - 1H Sword, 2H Sword, Dual Axes - Heavy Armor/Light Armor
Rogue - Daggers, Crossbow - Light Armor
Cleric - Cleric Rod - Light Armor/Robe
Bard - Harp - Light Armor/Robe
Wizard - Staff - Robe
Warlock - Warlock Rod - Robe
You do NOT have to have mastery levels to use WEAPONS, but you must have it for ARMORS
Please note that you can only have 2x your level of masteries
i.e.: If you're level 20, you can only have 40 masteries, so obviously, it is highly ill-advised to use more than 3 different classes.
Character Combos
Okay, so playing just 1 class is alright, but a lot of people use 2, so they can be more versatile in their options.
Character Combos that I have seen/used so far.
Warrior/Bard - I personally plan on using this, and I find it HIGHLY useful, even if, just for the speed boost. Warriors run slow in heavy armor, so it's a good skill that allows you to chase down other players.
Rogue/Warrior - Honestly, I have NO CLUE why people do this... the only plus I could see is having heavy armor while using Xbow/Dagger desperate, but even then, it seems like a waste.
Cleric/Bard - I use this myself and find it amazing. Every party wants me, I can heal, recharge mana, give speed, ress. The best support combo.
Wizard/Cleric - Cleric to party, Wiz to level, enough said.
Wizard/Bard - Nuke, nuke, grind, grind, MANA RECHARGE, rinse and repeat for best results.
Warrior/Cleric - Warrior as main, Cleric to sometimes ress a dead party member, however you will never be the main healer.
Remember to try out your own combos and be creative, you might make the next trend!
Stat point distribution
I highly, highly, highly do NOT recommend hybrids for Euro side.
Warrior, Rogue = Pure STR
Bard, Cleric, Wiz, Warlock = Pure INT
The only class i could POSSIBLY see being a hybrid would be a warlock because they have so many DOTS and life drains.
SP Farming
Pretty much NO Sp farming is required as a Euro char. If you keep a 2-3 level gap, you will never run out of SP. If you like grinding, keep a 9 gap until level 30, then just keep a 3 gap, and you'll have sp to spare and then some.
Trading
As a 1 star trader, the only problem you will EVER face are the Cocaine Chicken, and the Obese Centaurs. If you're under 26, i suggest you buy transport pots and just run past them and hope =]
Sorry that this guide seems so short and lame, I'll continually add to it once I'm home. Thanks everyone!

How can you not see the point in Warrior/Rogue?
Don't think of them as combining effects/buffs, think of them as two separate entities.
I would personally favour a Rogue in PvP over my Warrior, not to mention jobbing because of the stealth/speed, but I also like my Warrior for party play as I am usually designated tank.
I play in a party almost 100% of my online time, and that is always with a Cleric & Bard - without fail... period. If I need Str/Int/Moving March, I ask for them, they last a long time for buffs.
Another bonus to Warrior/Rogue is both builds being Str based. I could one minute be running around with my crossbow, then switch to Warrior mode and whip out my axes and deal high damage either way.

Ah I see, so you use it so you can play both classes, not so 1 can buff the other.

Well I think this could become a good quick reference guide if you left out the subjective parts e.g. warrior/rogue
Anyway I was wondering about that SP farming part.
When you mention "a 2-3 gap being enough", what are your references?
Is that for characters working on 2 classes?
Does that factor quests in?
It seems pretty optimistic to me, to be honest (based on lvl 60 comparisons chinese/euro through the SP calculator mentioned in the stickied thread).
Thank you.

To my knowledge, Bards wear only Robes, no Light Armor.

I'm pretty sure this is implying that Bards use Harps and wear Light Armor and Robes. I'm fairly certain they can't wear Light Armor.
