There is no where near 120,000 PLAYER BOTS... If they get rid of ALL OF THE GOLD BOTS Silkroad would be better... The only thing I have to say about bots... is thats what makes us have all of the SOS/SOM/SUNS... they make the economy better for us... No wonder I can't get in... the server is at +500 capacity OK Seriously... goldbots make the economy worse because they dump HUGE amounts of gold into the game that shouldn't normally be there. It means you pay DRASTICALLY more for all that SOX.

I recognise some of the goldbots off the mercury list - not a single player bot on that list afaik. Looks like they just caught the clientless bots again like last time.

Ok did they REALLY ban the bots or was it just to scare people?
Cause like server stats didn't really change...

They probably banned about 9,000-12,000 in total out of 120,000 that are ONLY GOLD BOTS...
The servers wont change... they never will... before there were bots even out the servers started to get crowded...
Every Monday they will be doing a bot ban. So thats good... hopefully they will get rid of some of these gold bots...
The last bot ban didn't even get rid of 20,000 in total... this one has already passed the number almost... and the old one went on for quite awhile...
So I think they're trying, and more will be banned, but only gold bots.
Player bots stopped botting because they knew that when they released that message, if they stopped they wouldn't get caught... and thats how it works.

Ummm, and how many new servers have opened since the last bot ban? it's no different. It's BS, and I can't believe people still get their hopes up over this shit. It makes NO financial sense for JM to ban player bots. Player bots buy silk, yes. So do legits. BUT, player bots WILL (and you know this) do chargebacks and screw up JM's rep with Paypal and other systems of payment, resulting in HUGE financial losses for an apparently poor S. Korean game company.

1. Do you buy gold? If so, then you botted. 2. Have you bought PLVL services? If so then about 95% of the time, you botted. Do you think that those guys actually grind it out for you? 3. It's a myth that a player bot is going to get to lvl 80 in 3 days. My friend bots, and it took him a week of 24/7 to go from 79 to 80. 4. Have you ever heard of subsidiary? Coke, Pepsi, GM all own subsidiaries that do business under DIFFERENT names. Those company's profit go to the parent company. Cold it be that Joymax owns the bot company? 5. After botting for 10 months, buying all that silk, if my friend was banned, not only would he charge back, but he would quit the game. He bots not because he is addicted, as some fools who are suggest, but rather because he wants to play and has better things to do with his life. 6. Joymax has designed game play to encourage botting. Like a 1* lvl 41 being an open target to high levels is fair? Once he hits lvl 41, his fun of trading stops until he get up to 76+. 7. If we want to stop player botting, then we need to demand a fairer game play. One where the star level of the trade determines the level difference of engagement. God knows that the thieves have to get bored following my lvl 39 around. I do, I would love to be able to battle it out with thieves my level.

I don't think anyone legit besides the bot sympathizers give a shit if your friend charges back or not. And good riddance if he quits. wildmanfrost wrote: 6. That's not necessarily true. I have lots of fun trading and I'm lvl 54. The chance of getting caught and failure is what makes it exciting for me. wildmanfrost wrote: 7. I don't think this "fairness in jobbing" is a huge factor in someone deciding to bot... Botters are usually striving to reach a high level so that they can totally dominate by being higher level without working for it => not fair at all.

If they did, they would sell the program it in the item mall. Majority of the bots are Gold bots as stated. Gold bots don't buy silk. They make ZERO dollars off of a gold bot. 5: Then he should have just quit SRO. The point of a game is to play it. 6: The design isn't to encourage botting. GRINDING is a staple in Korean MMOS. The time it takes you to level keeps you playing = spend more money on cash items/longer subscription = more money for the company in the long run. If the game was like an Xbox game, finishing in 10 hours, there would be no more revenue after you've completed the game. 7: This is incorrect. Players bot. Only the PLAYER can stop botting. You don't have a right to demand anything from the company. With all that said and done. I've reviewed the bot ban lists and they are a huge joke. You guy's never cease to amaze me with all the complaints about bots, server traffic etc etc. 10000 bot's banned, 10000 new accounts are signed up the very next day. It is a NEVER ending cycle that keeps your Silkroad economy flowing and CCU (concurrent users) high for company statistics. All of you are nothing more than a mear statastic. Game service is a business. If they can't profit off the business, there is no game. If you want Silkroad to survive another year or two continue to bot. They won't ban any PAYING player. The largest micro-transaction payment service in the world is Paypal (owned by eBay). If there is a massive chargeback (due to a paying silk customer ban) which tips the scale of projected losses Paypal will close Joymax's account as a paypal merchant. When that happens the company can no longer sustain its self unless you all start using ClicknBuy. It will never end. Eventually the game will die. Its nothing what it used to be 2 years ago because Koreans are negligent in consumer service.

6: The design isn't to encourage botting. GRINDING is a staple in Korean MMOS. In fact, they keep the exp as low as possible to keep u stick with the game longer. If they made 20x exp, eveyone would get lv 80 in month and begin to get bored with the cap since updates only release each half year. U stay longer = more money from Silk That's business
