I'd much rather you just put a keylogger in it ;d lol, screw joymax, can't count on them to do anything, it's not like thye need help finding bots =.=.
So your going to give joymax a second list of botters? Despite the fact they know / can know everyone that bots extremely easily? Telling them who bots when they already know who does, wont do anything because joymax doesnt WANT to ban the bots.

Oh, and where would you post it? Most botters use isrobot, maybe softmod.. paid bots, why would they DL from somewhere else? free botters use agbot, from rev6 (not a secret, it's on their main page.) So, where oh where could you post it.. I guess on a cheat forum like Epvp, but it would be found out to be not safe and your account would be banned.
even if you were to do this and JM got the info, I really doubt they'd even ban them, lol.

I told u, there're only 2 solutions players could do: 1. guard with lightning thief 2. drop gold
But ppl are too lazy
Why dont simply dont make program that will allow people to compete with server trafic? Bots have no probs loging in. Not sure if bots use built in autoselect next target(that could be blocked by jm possibly if they use and if they want)

Nope. Bots target mobs by detecting packets. All the info about mob type etc. is there. The autoselect feature was removed to stop pixel bots.

What you propose is just one temporary solution. It is better to fight botting by actually playing. Do it like Odin and Venus. All that is left are gold bots. Eventually when players on those servers stop buying gold, gold bots would reduce in numbers.

I don't think any smart person would use bots that are free cause of keyloggers. Put a price on it lol. Make some money. j/k. It's ridiculous because it wouldn't stop current botters, just get more wanting to bot.
I'm not telling what bot it's going to be on am I no, So yah, but I need to know if Admins will let me, without getting banned. But see, what I'm going to do is
Write a program to descramble the bot code into Python (Since I know it quite well), Python Specializes in Mail Servers from Home etc etc, This post is just going to put fear in botters, they will never know, maybe even plant in bots that cost ^_^, It'll work similar to a Keyloggers Design (COLLECT DATA-Send from Built-In email) but It will be undetectable, It will be the bot basically, just modified so It won't work, and sends info to Jm's email. Hopefully I can mass-email it on website ^_^ give me ideas ppl
problem is if you make a email server it wont' leave the network, unless their router is set up to allow that port to go thru, you can have it send you the information directly and then you email it to jm, just make sure you are globally accessible

Ive done something like that... =] Using Visual Basic 6 all you need is a STMP server like gmail..I would give u the code but i formatted my computer recently and havnt got VB6 installer

Maybe a solution is to put a time limit on the image code, gold bots using auto-login need several minutes to crack the code, so why not put a time limit of 30 secs for entering the image code, then if you're too late, you get the second.. and at the third code you get a 10 min ban

It doesnt seem so Code: Select all
I saw that video before, i think hes just manually entering the code
I agree with others. It's not a good idea to distribute a third party application like this that links into SRO. Besides, botters would very quickly discover that your version of the bot doesn't work right. If your bot happens to get used by someone who happens to have an IDS on their network, they would quickly see the e-mail packets going out. That would throw up some red flags right there.
Warnings would be posted all over the bot forums.

gratz for the 500th post, lol. banning coupla bots wont hurt, but wont add as well...its not a minute till u find each n every town full of town spammers + sdfgsdfgdsf, ghdh, sdfgsdfg, and sdfhsdfghsdfg running out of town to dig for gold lol
yah, but there will always be someone to dld not knowing, like most of you said n00b botters
You would still be distributing third party software, which should be a bannable offense.
Now if you could somehow come up with an application that doesn't interface with SRO, but simply monitors your own network traffic, and is able to somehow programatically identify botters simply by the packets (or patterns of) that they send, then you might be on to something.
I think the software just can't actually link into, or modify, the SRO client.
