i was wondering it wasn't my isp that changed it i changed my ip by (Censor ;p) never done it before i guess i was just curious/ educational research ;p but ya i was wondering will i get a call
from my isp maybe get charged extra why sould i get charged i don't know im just wondering or they just going to look at there screen all day oh look someone changed there ip *yawn* grabs a *donuts and a cup of coffee*

OMG why did you change it! That's like changing the license plate on your cars, not only is your ISP liable for this and will charge you a large penalty and drop your service, but the government will send you a fine by mail.

But in all honesty, don't worry. In simple terms: ISPs have a pool of IPs that are dynamically assigned, when you have a permanent connection it stays on and doesn't need to change IPs. However, if you turn it off, someone else will pick up your old IP and you will get a new one from the pool. You don't really need a program to change your IP (assuming your ISP changes them dynamically) just turn off your modem until someone turns theirs on and takes your IP that was returned to the pool.

lol dom :love: ya i was wondering since it was my first time thats why i ask :oops:
i just hope the person who had the ip before didnt do anything stupid unless all info is restarted idk
nah i didn't use a programm i went to command prompt btw im using a cable modem i heard when u have dial up everytime u logg off and on your ip changes but when your connected as i am now it doesnt don't quote me on this its what i heard X_X.

When you have Dial-Up, everytime you connect you get a new IP from the pool because they don't stick to your PC - with a permanent connection (like Cable) your IP sticks because your modem is ALWAYS on.
