i'm a lvl 80 prot pure str glaiver i have 80 heuk 80 light 80 fire 60 cold
i'm going 90 fire 90 light 90 fire 30 cold

Prot works pretty well i mean you'll rip apart Pure str builds but you'll be a lil bit weaker against nukers but if you are pure str you have so much HP that you can take hard hits but in the end its all about how good your prot gear is and your fighting style

i guess u have a point there.. but u make a dagger crit on an opponent w/o snowshield seem like something unusual though
this actually happens all the time u know.. rogue come out of stealth--> attacks the unexpecting opponent who doesnt have snowshield on all the time ofcourse --> does a huge crit because of the naturally hight crits on most dagger, and cuz of the rise in crits DD gives --> the glavier is 1Hit
but i think u can survive at least 1 hit if u use prots which are strong enough.. like a +5/7 full blue set or something

Garment or have both garment and protector sets when you hit the caps. For leveling, garment for the speed would be good.

I would say a garment because it will help you survive against the Wizards.

He forgot to take account of reinforcement on the clothes. From reinforcement you get another 56 extra phys (if your gear have full 6str) and if garment and protector set are +5 you get 11 more, because phys def increase more at each plus on protector than on garment. At the end if you have 2 set +5 with 6str on each part, you will get 140 more phys defence with protector than with garment.

If you go for 30 cold , i think you need to go for prot for the extra phy defence
