Boomkin is a druid. You have innervate...

And in a raid, yes Boomkins are mana inefficient monsters. BTW I hate boomkins. You need a SPriest in the party with Boomkin or he will go oom. Personally I say let the boomkin go oom.

Bartender3
Quartz
Bongos2
Cartographer

Im looking' for an SIMPLE AI with coords(Cartographer got too much content),looking for a nice Mage casting AI too(Dont really like Quartz),as for Bartender3,im trying to search a nice display to make it look good

Pitbull+Quartz+Bartender/Bongos=Basic addons for UI

You'll need to do some configuration to get them looking and acting how you want, but it's not too difficult to figure out.

Oh, it's UI btw, not AI.

I prefer AZCastBar. Its updated more frequently and its a lot easier to use. I don't need to know the latency on my spells, just need to know when its casting.

For a Shadow Priest UI, this is how its done for raiding.

How do you have mana as a boomkin?

Well, I level this alt together with a friend of mine. He plays a warrior.

Most of the time innervate was already off cooldown when I got close to OOM, unless I had to swich forms and heal the warrior or myself.

I bought some pretty decent gear when I respecced though, with alot of mana + spell damage + spirit. Only had to cast 1 or 2 starfires and an insect swarm to kill a mob with the warrior. :)

But larger groups of mobs / elites involving multiple moonfires, healing, the AoE thunder cloud, barkskin etc did require me to drink immediately after.

Speaking of healers, I been experimenting with a resto shaman lately on the private thing I play on. Stacked crazy mana regen on the gear.. and now that Im changing the T6 to sunwell, i expect something over 3k bonus heals with crazy haste. 8)

Anyway, even at Illidan and all of BT, this thing just never goes oom.

Well your experience of WoW is irrelevant.

Private server does not equal retail WoW. Not even close.

If that was addressed to me, I do not claim to be experienced. I've found a server that allows me to tryout every class with gear for every spec and all the stuff needed. So even if I were to play retail one day, I would know what I'm doing.

It's not even a terrible UI either. Decent by beginner standards.

I've seen some ugly ass shit before.

Not really. Glitched skills are glitched mobs plague private servers.

To be a good Shadow Priest you need all that. Need to see who needs anything dispelled during certain fights, usually its taken care of, but not always. Need to watch your threat, as SPriests will almost always be 2nd or 3rd on threat (depending if there is 2nd tank such Gruul, BloodBoil, Reaver fights), DmG meter to just check that you are putting the DPS that's needed, and a DoTimer to refresh the dots.

As for beginner UI, not really. Its about raid utility. Keep it clean, keep it simple. Easy to read, get the info need fast. So yes, it doesn't take much time to setup, but its clear and info readily available.

Raid Utility is all its about.

A lot of playing this game seriously is away from your toon. Go to forums, read forums, read about your class. Learn about the boss fights. Learn theorycrafting. In game execute and master your class. Spend the time to learn about your class and you'll be fine.

http://www.elitistjerks.com - Look under class mechanics and for tanking. You need to know everything about gear and threat generation. There are some great threads about your rotation to maintain your threat level. You need to read how to generate threat fast, fights like BloodBoil and Hydross depend on a tank to generate threat and gain aggro in a second. Not 2, but 1 second. It has to be immediate.

http://www.bosskillers.com - All your info on boss kills. Need to know the strategies. For tanks its imperative, tank dies, fight is over. If a range dps dies cause he's a moron, fight can continue. But not you, got to be at the right place, right time.

Gear wise - Do your reputations. Like the SSO reputation, Sunwell Offensive. There is a nice tank necklace and tank shield there to start you off. Get a lot of tanking experience. Lots of decent gear from just reputation to start you off.

Scryer / Aldor - Not sure for tank, but read up and see who has best items for you.

Learn to tank multiple targets. Yes the Warrior is best single target tank. But if you want to get into Heroics, you must be able to tank multiple targets. I know some tanks switch targets and sunder then all to keep aggro. It takes practice.

Badge Loots - There are better tanking gear from badges than there are in SSC or TK. So do your weekly Karazan. Do you daily heroics. Do multiple heroics.
- For you getting badges should be EASY. Tanks are always in demand for heroics. Do them, do tons. Get as many badges as you can. The Chest, Ring and Pants specifically.

Zul'Aman, can do twice a week. Do them. The shield and axe there are the best until you go to Black Temple. Get them! Feet, Legs, Head and Shoulders are also decent.

But get Defense Rating, Dodge Rating and Stamina. If you want to tank Zul'Aman and SSC and TK, recommended you have 16-17K HP unbuffed. And again, learn to generate tons of threat. And generate it fast. Within a few hits should have aggro.

I like em. Don't like portrait from Pitbull. I don't always use it, sometimes turn it off.

Also like to add, if you plan on being a Prot Warrior.

Almost always, a Prot Warrior is the Main Tank. Try to be the best tank in your guild. You want to be the Main Tank. Being Off Tank sucks. Its not that fun, you get to tank some random trash mobs. Occasionally adds from the boss fight. Main Tank you are guaranteed a raid spot, and guaranteed Tank fun.

Don't skip SSC and TK. You want the experience. Don't just get badge loot and ZA loot and apply to some moron Hyjal / BT guild. Do the SSC and TK fights.

Especially do the Kael'thas fight. Its not about loot. Its the fact Kael'thas is the most difficult fight before Sunwell. If you can tank Kael'thas you can cruise through BT and Hyjal. If you find a guild that is coordinated enough to kill Kael'Thas, I guarantee your guild will clear Hyjal in under 2 weeks. And get to Illidan in under a few months, get there very fast. For a guild like that, the only that will slow you down is getting shadow resist gears for the guild.

So remember, KAEL'THAS. Do it. Find a guild that will do it. Its the most fun fight until Sunwell and will guarantee that your guild is coordinated and skilled.

In fact I'm getting ready to join a guild that will be working on Keal'thas. I myself have not killed him, only attempts. After clearing BT and Hyjal, its the only fight I care about now. And finally found a guild that will do the progression as if the attunements were never removed. Gonna be with a bunch of Pre Patch 2.4 BT raiders. Killed Kael'thas before he was nerfed. Horray.

Yes, as frost you only spam frostbolt, and hope for shatters etc.

You dont use cone of cold for dmg, just for management.

  • Mounts at 30?! Yes, it’s true: Apprentice Riding and mounts are now available at level 30. Training costs 35 gold.

Possibly the two points with the highest contrast in practicality and overall greatness on the patch list I've ever seen since I've played wow.

22 slot bags=win

You can never have enough bag slots imo.

Mounts at 30 doesn't really affect me :P

The mounts affect me a bit. Means for the next five levels, I'm going to be more focussed on gathering then levelling to make money.

Oh well, if anybody played on my realm I'd tell you all to keep an eye out for the Draenei skipping along through the Barrens tonight.

Mounts at 30 would be, in my opinion, the single best move Blizz has ever made to make this game more accessible. And as much as I am hating them for nerfing my PvE guild rogue, I do believe this is a great move towards making the game much more enjoyable at lower levels. As for the bags along with the new purple trinket I can finally say I'm fully EPIC!

Edit: Unfortunately I'm also broke now...
