Do we need more bot guilds on Venus, so we have less legit drama?
I support the war against bots but some people are trying too hard and they forgot who is on the right side... Thinking that BHA is a bunch of bot supportes is just wrong.
Don't talk about this subject anymore. Try to kill bots, try to kill plvled noobs who enjoy a botters help and ignore any bots who likes to talk/party/whatever with you. That's it. No more drama.

Well since i joined it's always been like this. People always try to find a way to start drama, they're too bored.
See this started out of a discussion on the confederation. That discussion could have been made private between the two persons involved, but it looks like they wanted to entertain people with some drama, so it was posted in a forum exposed to everyone. And it didnt end there: someone else was too bored and posted it on SRF, making it even more exposed than the confederation. This when it could have been left at the senate forums, where only people who are really into this actually read it. But no, you wanna get everyone involved and make more drama, you keep making something out of nothing.

I try to make a trip to the ong ravine daily and when I am asked why I killed a plvl group, I tell them they were getting lvl'd by a botter or a bot guild member and I will be back every day to do the same. Reroll legit or get out. If I was high enough to spawn a slave watcher like nightmar3 was doing yesterday I would. Killed Ransho 4-5 times. I lost count. If I had high enough lightning thieves to kill the bots that do the plvling I would but it was hella fun watching goob clear the ice with his a few nights ago. Do I gang pvp botters even if they are lower level - hell yes. Do I search areas across SRO for "legits" in bot plvl parties, yes and address it immediately. Do I say "hi" to botters/bot supporters not that I can remember since I usually am trying to kill them if they are getting plvl'd....well I take that back. I usually say hi or something to see if they are afk because I hate when they run from the ongs I bring. Do I party with Avalon/BHA or other confirmed legit guilds yes. Do I also spend time leveling or in partys with other legits helping leveling, yes. The more I level the better I can fight against the bots. I don't plan on changing any of the above going forward no matter how or when this "discussion" ends.

Okay, as an Odin member who once went to Venus once back before MaliceArmy died out; first and foremost, what Avalon does for Venus is nothing short of spectacular for the legit community. That being said, you all need to chill the f.uck out -- take a 5 minute breather, or something. You're calling BHA bot supporters just because they tried to take the Fortress from you? If anything, think of it as friendly competition or some small need of change; let someone else hold the fort for once. The way outsiders see it, is that you're paranoid over the Fortress itself. That may or may not be the case, who knows; but comparing of when MaliceArmy was in power (comparing it to Avalon and Venus), yes we tried convincing most of the server to go legit -- but we were not assholes about it. We did bot traps and stuff like that, but when I start to see list on Venus of who and who you cannot party with just because they may or may not have botted (with no solid proof)? Thats kind of sad, really. We never had to resort to that, yet we were still successful until the union fell apart under its own weight of alot of members being inactive.

Party list is needed alot of new players dont know what guilds are bot guilds etc its for them and if they want to pt with bot guilds after knowing its a bot guild then they can gtfo.

@T3ddy, he didn't admit anything. They didn't fail. They succeeded then it fell apart once their charismatic leader jumped ship and most members went their own way (inactivity). Thats all it takes buddy. Remove all people capable of leading a Union and you've got yourself another shitty bot server.

Way to put words in my mouth; honestly, read everything I said word for word. MaliceArmy only went down because the leader and half the Union decided to move to a different game; Age of Conan together. Its common sense that without people to help you defend, you're gonna lose fortress and someone else will take over. That being said, when we were in power, we never had to be assholes to everyone that didn't agree with us 24/7; yet we were still just as effective as Avalon was in creating a majority legit server. You'd be amazed at how much more effective simple diplomacy will go rather than outright insulting every botter you meet. Would you not agree that it would be better to convince a botter to change his ways, rather than insulting him and therefore ensuring that he continues botting in defiance because you were a jerk to him? Obviously there are limits to when and where this sort of method can be used or not -- yet I do agree that in certain cases, there are times when you have to put your foot down and force your will on someone while not taking any shit from them. I see Avalon overdoing the latter, and not enough of the former; and that will eventually lead to loss of support if kept up for too long.
Long story short, if you act like a Dictator for too long and start turning against former friends; eventually you will lose what you have and the botters will take their chance at a crippled Union and may even win against you. Do not lose focus on who the real enemy is: botters. But it is not necessary to always shun them from the get-go. Try to convince them to change their ways. If they fail that and resort to their old methods, by all means punish them.

I agree with most of your posts, except for one issue: if Avalon likes to be douches towards botters, that's their thing. It's not a problem. Sure it makes botters hate Avalon, but legits aren't supposed to be nice to botters until the botters reroll and become completely legit.
The main problem at hand is Avalon's (recent?) McCarthyist mindset of accusing anyone that rubs them the wrong way as a bot supporter. Notably the entire BHA union. I've never seen Avalon act in such a paranoid manner against fellow legits before.

It's truly sad to see legits being hostile towards fellow legits. I'm surprised by Avalon's attitude towards BHA since the time BHA tried to take the fort.
Is maintaing control of the fort really that important? The Jangan fort is merely a tool to generate gold. At the end of the day, as long as a legit guild controls the fortress, and the bot population remains low, all is well. If Avalon is only hostile towards BHA over something as trivial as a fort, then that only makes Avalon look greedy. If anything, Avalon should be happy that they are finally facing some friendly, legit competition. After all, that's what the game is supposed to be played like from a legit's point-of-view, right?
Unfortunately, this Avalon vs. BHA feud is a win-win scenario for bots. However, some drama queens inside the game (read: idiots) don't seem to understand this.
This raises a big question--is Venus truly supposed to be a confederation of legits? Is power truly shared equaly among legits in status quo? Or is everyone (including BHA) supposed to consider Avalon as the supreme ruler of the server? Maybe only time will tell.
In the meantime, this topic is way overdue for a lock.

i think venus is becoming more bottish because you guys aren't doing as much work as you used to, you're too focused on our legits instead of the problem, bots. What happened to 24/7 bot traps? How come No one has done anything about the Goldbot plvl's at ishades? i can tell you where they are but i'm only a nooby level 50, there are things us noobs just CAN'T do. That's one of the hidden problems of BHA. While Avalon is over-aggressive to the point of bullying fellow legits, majority of BHA is too nice to stand up against Avalon.
Granted, being nice has worked well for BHA so far. Everyone loves SuicideGirl. I have yet to hear anyone say anything bad about him. Fly's case is the complete opposite. While everyone appreciates what Fly and the others did for Venus, not many people like Fly as a person.
I hope BHA does grow a spine soon. Let's see: BHA tries to win FW --> BHA is declared as "bot supporters" by Avalon --> people from Avalon union go around pking BHA members --> IMS joins BHA union --> Avalon demands Goob and Axe from BHA has to be kicked? Am I the only one here who doesn't see the logic behind this?
If either Goob or Axe is kicked, I can safely conclude that BHA leaders are all a bunch of spineless cowards.
He wants Good and Axe to be kicked because they don't like his behavior. If they're kicked, he'll probably black-list them to make sure they don't come back. Funny thing; There is very little drama in game. People get angry when playing then come to the forums to release all of it. Makes for very funny topics.
