You don't need 8gb of ram.. And buy a better video card.. like hd4850 you can get it for ~150$ or 9800gtx.
[edit] oh yea.. and 1g of ram in video card is no better than 512mb. So don't pay extra for that.

That amount of RAM is overkill.

So don't pay extra for that. from what i read on 0x33 back then... if you have a 512mb video card, you can run about 8 clients before you get "Out of video memory" error which is a very self-explanatory error. with a 1GB video card, u can run 16+ clients smoothly. 8GB of system RAM will cause a LOT LESS data swapping between your hard drive and your RAM, so u can teleport to town instantly. reason why it takes people a long time for town to load is because they dont have much RAM at all. And i think that setup is way too expensive. At least get a better gfx card. But hey.. it's your money

Kyau wrote: Too bad Win Xp and Vista 32 bit cant see more then 3.2~3.5 Gb of Ram ! i was just about to post that till i seen you said it first. the chances are that he is not getting a 64bit os. 8 gb of ram is so over kill and pointless. it only takes 2 gb to run vista at its best and 1gb for xp. i really don't think you could even use 8gb of ram up with anything other then opening 50+ programs or 10+ clients (not saying that's what you will use it for just a example) if i were you i would from 5gb of that ram and get a really nice video card or maybe not cheap out on other parts of the system.
