Alright, so I've become interested in my bard again (even though no new attack til lvl 60? lame!!!!! Only 24 more levels to go -_-)

Anyway, my bard is a full support, meaning bard/cleric. Although the only cleric skills he has are bless, group heal, and revival. Basically just ones I can use when needed, not the others because they go away when you equip the harp. And my party needs the MP!

Oh wait, I don't have a party. THERE ARE NO PARTIES ON SATURN. I went scowering around the entire sanmarkand area. (Yay for noise) But the point is, what am I supposed to do? I'm a support character... I'm supposed to be in a party and yet there are no parties aside from the plvlers!

;-; is there anything that I can do really? Everyone says bard is about as strong as chinese nukers, however, bards have a nice 15 second potion delay unlike the chinese. Meaning they can't train on mobs they can't 1-2 hit at all. Which pretty much means almost grinding on BLUES. If not blues then grinding on greens using booming chord each time (which has a higher delay) which would cause you to kill about 1 monster per... I dunno? 10 seconds?

Wha? Bards do more damage than clerics, and I find myself frequently without a party too...

buy vigors, get a dog...I grind like that, attack one monster, takes it down half way, move on to next, let dog kill, move on, etc.

Or, yeah, grind on blues, I sometimes have to. At level 61 I'd sometimes do sonars, because they're magical and non-aggro. And those were two-hits.

Bard is a support char. U can still solo but it's not as effective as wizard soloing. That's why i have wiz as my sub. Wiz + teleport + noise + speed = great for pve.

Level 40 is your goal; a bard can grind quite well with just his one nuke, and the normal attack (put it under one of your keys), and the absolute damage nuke, but that level 40 recovery division really comes in handy. Between noise and recovery division, I hardly use any HP pots, and with mana cycle I hardly use any MP pots either.

Heard of nobody joins them?

Again, go get some cursed hearts and lower your Jackass Mastery, it's not workin for your build.

And yeah phul, I don't have pots. I have 1 stack of each for emergencies. But I don't use em, and the emergency has not yet occured.

Then what is the problem? I've always been able to 2-shot white mobs (and often even light red mobs), and with the speed of bardic nukes I was always leveling quite quickly. What's your equipment like?

Other than my SOS+3 harp. The rest is pretty much NPC.

Oh and he's not farmed. I tried farming for a while, but gawd no way I can do that. he's got like 4k SP. All the attack skills are maxed.

So you're lvl 36 with a lvl 32 SOS+3 harp with maxed skills and cannot 2 shot kill level 36 mobs? That's really odd; I don't remember having such problems at those levels. What are you fighting, and what does it take to kill them?

I always tried to train at ongs, but they turn into parties/giants really easy and there goes the neighborhood XD.

Even blood ongs. 5 seconds of killing and bam, parties everywhere.

I moved up to hun lancers. It takes 1 horror chord and 2 normal attacks to kill. They usually don't hit me, but if they do they do about 700 damage (348x2) and I have 1099 hp XD.

bard just sux as primair class
1 its only useful when you have more bardic users in your party and that will need to be some1 who is bardic as primairy class because else he wont held is harp
2 your damage is low
3 you die very fast cos you cant heal or get more defence like cleric

only 1 advantage I have seen plvlers who dont use MP because they give themself 16 sec mp recovery buff they were botters...

I would recommence to level with cleric at lvl 60 you get a new cleric attack I have seen lvl 85 clerics grinding and they grind as fast as a full int china also cleric has looots better defence when u wear light armor

Even with guard tambour? Btw, parties should only come near shared parties; don't be there, and don't be in one when you solo.

Try a teleport to DW, and try the flowers? Your noise should protect you up to level 40, and you won't have to walk to kill them; just stand between 2-3 fast spawns, and let them respawn around you.

Oh, and get yourself to level 40 so you'll have recovery division.

Bards may do low damage, but they do low damage quite fast. But it remains a support char.

Try finding parties, the higher you are, the easier it'll be.

You could delevel your cleric sub for something more suitable to solo like lock or wiz.

I had that same problem, I'm also a bard/cleric. In the end, I ended up switching servers, greece, posiedon, pluto, now I'm on venus and there seems to be a lot of decent parties here.

You should just do that instead.

Yeah I did switch to Venus. However, I'm not going to make a bard. I'll never get a harp as good as my SOS +3 (with INT blues).

Yes I like to bring up my harp. I know its not much but its shiny and its the best weapon I've ever had. XD I never get SOX ANYTHING. And I only get +3 when I get bored enough to try to get it +'s. I only go to +3 so it shines @_@
