what does that mean?

It's "Greetings" or something along the sort.
Someone says "s.a" you reply "a.s." I don't know how it goes in Turkish, but if it's similiar to Arabic, it's something along the lines of "As-salaamu :alaykum" and ":alaykum as-salaam."

A.s / S.a, or they use Slm which I think means Selam. Which is basically a greetings.

foolish humans.... a.s. is actually "w'alykumussalam" its just shortened as a.s without the w. and yes, it means "peace be upon u too."
