that was really interesting

the future of this technology is gonna be pretty scary (if they were to succeed)

But still there's the whole issue of messing with life itself.....

oh.... and here comes the Green Peace protesters.....

scary is hardly the correct word for this
this is amazing and i wouldnt be surprised if we start growing small things soon (based on what was shown in the vid) like maybe wrist watches or flashlights or something

and about the whole "playing god" thing...
this isnt playing god anymore than someone building a house out of bricks. They're just manipulating available materials to make something new a mason would manipulate bricks into the shape of a house.
and before anybody says this isnt bricks this is life. no, DNA isnt life its just a code as he said. it's just different chemicals arranged in a specific order.

I dun really get what's creepy about it :? the only thing i can imagine is ending up with phone that won't fit in ur wallet, but you would notice that and stop feeding it.

Guy doesn't realize that seeds don't just grow. There's a few processes he's forgetting.

thats amazing. It made wan to switch my major from chemistry to BioChem...but like grimm said at the rate there going it could probably be 100 years b4 something productive comes out of this research.

@reise the seed thing is like a metaphor so its easier to understand.
