it's originally based on 2d. i know it has 3d features, but
from personal experience and that of my collegues, i know
that for 3d work it's better to start off with software that
started out to be intended for 3d. i usually work(ed) with
solidworks or pro engineer for precise design, and 3d max
for random modelling and try-outs.
