Not really afraid to post this, because so many threads here on SRF turn into accusations anyway. I just don't care anymore. But this is interesting.

I got a new Logitech keyboard/mouse set. It comes with software (called "SetPoint"). Without the software, none of the custom buttons on the mouse work, including the middle-click (it only does the scrolling on pages when SetPoint is not running).

I can't, for instance, use my phantom the way I and many other people use (middle-click). In addition, I can't use the custom mouse buttons for other things to ease micro-management.

Turns out to be (courtesy of another forum), GameGuard is blocking it. So I tried to launch the game using a third party tool, which disables GameGuard... and VIOLA! Everything works perfectly.

Logitech's customer service stated the obvious: something else is blocking our software, then you need to deal with that something else.

I submitted a "bug report" on Joymax's portal. It's been almost 4 weeks now, and we all know that... well, no point of even discussing that.

So here's the thing: I am now using a third party tool (which is a violation of <insert whoever belongs here>'s rules), just because I can't get the functionality I need out of my hardware in the game. Which appears to make me a botter or no longer "legit" (whatever hell the definition of it is now).

I could've just stayed silent, but I decided to post this so that people can see, just how sad the state of the game and this forum has become. Anyway, flame away all you want, I doubt I'll be replying to anything in this forum... before I - supposedly - get banned.

If you dislike the "state of this forum", why do you even bother posting this? You are just trying to bring drama and nonsense to the this forum where it's suppose to be fun and be an enjoyable atmosphere. Stop posting if all u want to do is make wrong misconceptions.

I have setpoint running just fine while in game, without bypassing anything. Only problem is that my middle mouse button acts up and half the time doesn't click or anything, so I have to use my key that I have for it instead. xP Dunno what your problem is, but I am gonna have to put this in here.

Would it be considered 3rd party also if I have 2 other people press on my keyboard to help me switch weapons?

Or is that a "lan" party?

Like a gm standing right behind watching that you don't brake the rules.
Jm changed the game rules long time ago................

I used macro in lieage2 and in sro too, no big deal since my hardware directly
supports macro recording and playback, guess why jm removed auto target action .......

Lineage2 ended up having ingame macro recording and actions.

ps.: Everything is legal for jm until they make money on you. When they don't even your lv1 stall
account gets banned.

The question to ask is. Why would he make this up? There's no reason for him to come here and post this knowing that he may very well be banned.
I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt and say he really did have a problem with his mouse.

Lol, who cares . .as long as it's not botting / multiclient it shouldn't really matter.

Hell, I use all 18 'G' keys on my keyboard ...

G1-G6 = Party buffs .. Like C1+1+2+3 / C2+1+2+3
G6-G12 = For a diff game ;p
G13-G18 = Logins.

Macro's are assumed third party so ;p

Using a multi client, or anything like that doesnt make you a botter lol :)
it would mean your not fully legit, though i dare to bet 80% off this forum aint :) your just one off the few admitting it :)
If your stuff works now, and you still dont bot anyway, just keep it to yourself and "play" the game ^^

I dont really see why you mentioned about using a loader, but ah well, cya in 7 days I guess.
On Topic: Have you tried to disable GameGuard yourself? Since it doesnt actually work as Joymax havent paid their GameGuard rent or w/e I dont imagine it would be to difficult to bypass. :P

I don't think you should be banned for that problem.
Maybe if someone else has the same mouse as you, they can help you set it up so that you don't have to use a third party program to log into the game.

Rofl...what ppl care about. Dont use your 3rd party prog. U dont have to use it since u can run Sro fine with setpoint in "normal way"

Why ppl allways think there is Gameguard running?

THERE IS NO GAMEGUARD IN SRO

U think cause of the pic at start??? If i put a pic of the devil in here u think the devil is in the forum???

What the hell does your rant have to do with "the state of the forum" or the game? BTW; it isn't supposedly. It's definitely. Talking about using a third party loader to access the game.

Joymax already stated on their forums that they don't ban for logitech, recording programs, xfire, internet explorer. What they will ban you for are third party clients and loaders.

Oh, and he's not complaining about the macros. He's trying to make himself look like a martyr because he had to use a loader to access the game.
