It's awesome! but they slightly screwed up Ed's hair colour. Mustang's voice seems less cool, but I can't really figure out if it's a different voice actor or jsut a difference because the actor aged.

Sweet thanks, I was waiting for this for a long time :D It's a very good episode indeed, nice action too. I like how there weren't continuous flashbacks.

Glad FMA2 has quick and good subbers. Let's hope Funimation doesn't get the rights to it.. even though they will. Knowing them they'll start sending C&D letters to the fansubs and Soul Eater all over again. Having like 10 different sub groups.

Shinsen and gSS are doing it. I'm pretty sure they won't stop even with a C&D.

Nice to see its back and thanks for the link. Also got to love the animation quality. You just don't see anime looking that good anymore. I think i see where they're going with the new series, it'll be interesting to watch.

Also you guys plz support Funimation. I know they may be later than the rest but at least stop by the page they're hosting it on the day it comes out. Translating companies are losing lots of money to internet fan subing and if it keeps up you can forget about seeing any anime in english any time soon. Funimation is one of the better companies out there too and they really care about their work.

You do realize without fansubs anime in the western side wouldn't be popular.. I don't give a shit about them losing money. And TBH anime in japanese > any other language.Without fansubs the anime we know would be wtf?

And /complain on dub. Death Note being one popular ones that turned out horribly in English along with Code Geass. So will Soul Eater and some other series they got rights to.

Can somebody tell me why they decided to remake the series? Oh and did anybody else notice that Edward sounds exactly like Naruto?

I was here before the 12 year old community jumped on the anime bandwagon so i remember how hard it used to be to find good anime. And by good anime i mean stuff thats not like soul eater. So maybe without fansubs you'd be like WTF but i'd still be fine. The internet hasn't been around very long you know and anyone who remembers the dial up days will know that streaming video over the internet has practically impossible and was pretty expensive until recently. Despite all of this there were many people who got hooked on quality anime via DVDs and TV, that support early on b4 the dawn of internet fansubs is what caused the desire and popularity of anime in the west. Not your dattebayos or whoever else.

I have nothing against the fansubbing community but if we don't support people like funimation you WILL stop seeing less anime come to the west and less anime overall. If you don't support the western market the money that eastern market has gotten used to flowing in from them will get smaller and smaller. Its already happening and when that gets bad enough you are going to start seeing a serious decline in the production values and the production overall of anime in the east.

Like i said i before the market was around long b4 people like you and its gotten used to support from people like me. Cut off the support and you're cutting off the monetary lifelines that the eastern market needs to keep pumping out quality anime (not soul eater).

Actually...is this a remake of the original series, or is it like a stand-alone series?

I guess you could call it a remake. Its like they're doing the whole thing all over again and it looks like they might be following the proper plot this time.
