yeah actually i have 20 chars lvl 100 FF for 110, an army of goldbots and much more 8), and i want to be the only botter on sro

seriously, ok a loader is a third party program, but it's aim is not to grind while you are afk, or run 20 clientless goldbots, screwing up the game ...

- multiclient => take server slots
- swear filter => allow you to insult, say words that no one like to hear
- no DC => reduce the probability of other users to connect
- zoomhack => cheat in fortress

- multiply the number of loader users with number of accounts multiclient (least is 2, for stall char), then deduce the number of slots wasted.
- ofc you can pk2 edit swear filter, and also modify the file sro_client.exe to have multiclient and noDC, but it doesn't mean it's ok to use it.
- it's not because they have a reason that means that it's ok to use it.

If you weren't just advertising this "petition" or whatever you wish to call it. You would know that using a loader is just as bad as botting in the forum.

Lol, now I'm the bad guy.
I've just come here to ask some participation if you think there is still something that can be done for Silkroad.

You are as long as you think that loader is ok to use. Ppl always say that "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" but it seems that this is not the case, this is more like a triangular conflict. If the bots get banned then what? Loader users still exist and keep enjoying the advantage they get from it.

First we the old and beta players petitioned JM for years. We even had members of this community here who actually worked at joymax and cared for the game. Know what it got us? As a community it got us nothing. Litteraly less than nothing really. The community that worked for joymax either got fired or walked away because they cared about the game/community and did not want to do things the joymax way. When they left joymax replaced them with non community team players. Players that play for team them and not us. They don't care the game is an embarasment. It would in the short term litteraly cost them more to fix than they earn on it. And just in case you didn't know they have no long term plans. Not for SRO. Once the revenue stream is dried up your beloved SRO will be gone. True facts.

Second about it not being all joymax's fault. Really, really, really it is. The botters are not specifically evil people. Simply put they are people with weak morals, minds, and wills. They want to be the best but could never get their on their own. With their weak constitutions they succumb to the worst parts of human nature. In real life there is very real action a community can take. Very real reprocussions for doing wrong. In SRO the community at best can only ridicule and annoy these people. But can really do nothing to keep them in check as there are no lasting negative consequences to the actions they take. The best the community can do is a false paradise like venus. It looks nice on the surface but there are plenty of botters there. They are doing admirable at retarding the growth of the retards on the server but the retards will eventually win. Holding them back is like a single man trying to hold back the ocean tide. If joymax cared they would ban the miscreants or institute some sort of community government ability to allow the community to patrol itself and JM just watch the watchers. Never gonna happen.

In the end you all should re address your emails to /dev/null as it will have the same or greater effects. It is through no lack of effort on the part of the community that the game is the shithole it is. We tried for years. Many including myself held out hope after hope. Though eventually all the smart ones moved on. Move on my friends move on. SRO has alot of promise but not under joymax's control. Make of that what you will. Be it another game or a non Joymax run version of SRO which is always better run than any JM version.

Good post. JM run Silkroad is quite possibly the most neglected game ever.

You guys are so rude. Without a loader, loging into sro is like 98.9% impossible (except you have no life and try for hours).

And @NuclearSilo: Take it easy, it's just a game. It's not like doing anything illegal IRL.

You can tell all the last couple of ppl who posted use loaders lol. Anyway, its not as bad as botting, but it actually does do a lot to the servers. Think about how many ppl are multiclienting, stall characters, plvling, etc. Then you got No-Dc clients which gives the legits an even harder time to login.

multiclient and bot wouldnt be a problem if joymax did something against it, which they can.

would be easiest to bomb all bot server locations and buy the game from joymax than to ask them kindly to please stop chatting about the next bot launch and do something accodring to the ToS

Good luck, you have to have definitive proof that a person is botting or your could end up with a lawsuit, sounds unrealistic but theoritically you could. On top of that, I'm sure joymax won't let you ban anyone that has bought silk unless that player is like hacking the server lol, a lot of goldbots probably bought $5 of silk and the account is good forever.

They clearly state that botting is prohibited. That is a rule. If you do not respect it you deserve to be banned. Don't come around with lame excuses.

Edit: imagine you're a GM. You PM some guy killing some monsters, but he doesn't PM you, neither he stops killing monsters. Do you think he's a normal player and not a bot? Usually everybody is exciting seeing a GM... ;)

Your missing the point, just because someone looks like they're botting doesn't mean they are. Just because someone doesn't respond to your whisper doesn't mean they don't see it. You need to know for sure, without doubt that they are botting before you can ban them. If you see someone wearing 1d gear and wielding a 1d weapon, does that mean they are level 1-8? Of course not, they could be level 1-100.

How? Maybe that combination means something to me, maybe I got tired of finding every name that I tried is taken, so I used asdsfs in rage. I see your argument, and in 99.9% of cases this would hold true, I'm just advocating that joymax doesn't have it as easy as you think.

Ofc, no one like to ban on assumption, but it's not hard to identify a bot, and there are many ways.
I can identify bots by just looking at their way of grinding, basing on their speed of picking up items, trajectory to find mob around, etc...

Have you ever thought that it was perhaps the bot and loader users that are the rude ones? If it was not for them you would not need a loader to log in in the first place. Though your forum name is fitting you just been punted. PWNT

Normal thought process: WTF I can't log in. I suppose I could get a loader or hack my client to get in easier but really is this game worth it? Bot infested and loaded with immature 12 year olds and rude ethnicities. Wait why am I playing this game?!

Addict thought process: WTF I can't log in. Aaaah it hurts! Must get loader, bot, something! OH MY GOD MY LIFE HAS NO MEANING WHERE IS A DAMN LOADER NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOES!!!1!!!!

Agreed. Everyone knows the mannerisms of bots. It wouldn't be too hard to do.
