I played on Troy since it started, then i moved to olympus when the cap was 70, i killed thousands and thousands of bandit archers for over 6 weeks to sp farm, then in like 6 months i hand grinded to lvl 70, i hit lvl 70 2 weeks before cap went to 80, all that hand grinding in the end when i had to kill tens of thousands of mobs with gold ticket, i decided, for my own health, to quit. Im a gamer, one of the best in warcraft and starcraft in open competitions in my country.
But theres a limit to everything, i love mmorpgs, i dont love hurting my eyes, wrist, time and economy to "have fun"theres a limit u guys, if u take it slowly and easy u might get to 80 handgrinding if u dont have a life too. Im playing again coz i love the game, with things like pwlvl at my disposal it is great, nowadays i dont mind bots, if i get to high level again i might even be tempted to use one, i dont like games like WOW where u can get to cap in 10 days, but i wouldnt like the other edge or perspective of it, and thats what SRO has become.

My biggest problem with bots is not that they are higher lvl than me or that they have more gold than me or that they cause impossible server traffic or that they have better weapons than me but it is because they have ruined the way the game is meant to be played
-no more than a couple full euro pts on server, except those at cap
-few low levels so new players do not find people to level through game with
-very little jobbing because gold bots get more money than trading
-very difficult to level in area around hotan because bots that can one hit mobs are constantly ksing

It didnt change, it wont change till JM's profit get in risk. so keep hating as a "costumer" while i hav fun. accuse me of anything u want, but i can tell a u'll fail hard on it. i play this shit by the "legit way" for fckin 4 years, and its only gettin worse in the last 3. the adaptative expectative tells me it wont change. So i believe, in ur US or not, all customers have the right to leave, quit and deny the services. So, if the company that provides ur service only gets worse, just dont hire em anymore.

Oh, i dont "hate" goldbots cuz i havent seen anyone ksing me theres a loooong while.
if u need explanation there is: i hate golbots, their existence is bad-wrong-notgood-annoying, but atm i dont care cuz i dont grind near em anymore.

what i am tryin to do is just to hav fun. only it. i just got tired of goin insane each time i was ksed, or goldbots/ bots came to the spot where i was handgrinding. now i try to just hav fun, and i still post in this "legit nazi forums where u hav to watch what u say", cuz i believe in the cause, the reasons are legit and these costumers are right in what they say. i just dont fight so much anymore.

and sorry my bad english, ive never had classes and my main language is the portuguese. oh, and im usually drunk.

You can even still hate them if they dont ks you because through their gold sell they raise the prices on every server and items just get too expensive for alot of ppl who cant or OFC DONT WANT to buy money.

Hold up... he doesn't have to not look at his monitor to not notice gold bots. He can easily find a secluded spot to grind. Even in my 3x days, if I wanted to I could always go to far reaches of the map exploring and usually there wouldn't be any gold bots there. It's not that hard if you're willing to walk a little further to escape having 10 gold bots swarm all over you.

I swear to you it's not possible to not notice any goldbots from lvl 40-70 and find a good spot. Especially in Bunwang lvl 45 and in Karaokam or the area with name smt like that. Either you got plvl directly from lvl 1-80 and go directly to Chin Tomb or you ...
Don't fool yourself.

I take that as a challenge than. BRB in 30 mins to find screenshots for you ^_^

Edit: Actually, could you be more specific with a mob in karakoram. I don't really want to bother running to every single mob and taking a screenshot.

NS if you read selenne's post again you will notice the word "anymore". So take your accusations and stick them where the sun doesn't shine.

Here's the Bunwang one. Plenty of mobs, giants too. A good mix of spiders and bunwangs. Can be all bunwangs if you stay closer to the hills.

Nice, try, but one pic can't tell anything. You can't just stand in that spot and wait mob to spawn one by one, not even talk about the spawn rate, but everytime you hunt in a grinding area you need to run around at least 40m radious

Actually I've used that spot since I was lvl 40 and used it again to powerlvl my gf and my friend. The spawn rate is pretty dam good. I can run up and down that area. The time it takes to go up that valley and back down is enough for them to respawn.

Like I said, it's hard, but not impossible to find a free spot to grind. Most bots will go to the closest spot possible so they don't have to walk as far. Also, the more crowded a place is with trees or objects, the less likelyhood it is for bots to go there since they know they get stuck and start humping.

So the bots force you to go to a far spot, don't you feel annoying?
Anyway, you don't have problem with bots or not is your problem, and i don't care, because you are friends with them.

I use to feel annoyed, but after awhile, it was cool trying to discover new places to grind at. This game has quite a bit of detail in its environment, too bad most players just stick with the road and miss some of the sights.

Oh, then good luck, have fun, enjoy the game as long as you can. Don't start to QQ or feel sad if your friends get banned.

Finding a spot like that for a long enough time to actually level is near impossible on most if not all servers. Don't bs us with pics saying you're able to grind =|

I've been from level 1 to 93..no, you cannot grind, you cannot pass go and you cannot collect 200 god damn dollars.

So are you saying from lvl 1-93 you've been grinding and getting ks-ed from gold bots non-stop? Not once have you been able to grind in peace? I dunno about you, but I always manage to find a spot where I can grind and not be disturbed by ksing bots. It might take some times, and sometimes the spot might get taken, but if you move to far corners of the map, it is possible. I've done it on Alps. I dunno about Roc Mt. or Chin Tomb as i've quit grinding once I finished with takla.

You'll notice goldbots on your way to your grindspot, but it's possible to find a spot where you won't be bothered by them.

It surely is possible. The spot might not have as high a spawn rate as you might like, but there are some lower-spawn places where the gold bots don't go. I haven't grinded in takla or Roc, but I've found places at the jangan water ghosts, demon horses, white/blue spiders, bunwangs, ishades for example that don't have much if any of a bot problem.

The spots are out there, they're just not great spots, especially for a party that needs a higher spawn rate.

Just remember you started it with comments like legit nazi etc. Just saying. Though I would rather be and am more proud to be a legit nazi rather than an apathetic part of the problem like yourself.

It is the principle. Whether or not you see them the bots are there messing everything up. It is foolish to "just ignore" or "accept" them and "try" to have fun. You gave up fighting. Fine. But you do realize you come off as if you are supporting/rationalizing them saying you don't care about either. Sounds like you are accepting them and that they are ok. Then couple that with the legit nazi statement and it sounds an awfull lot like you are ok/like bots and hate legits. Maybe it is because english is not your primary language but it still sounds bad.

Ofc it's possible to find a spot without the gold bots. But the fact is they took all the good spots. Just thinking about they forced me to go to a far corner of the map and leave a high spawn rate area to a soulless program make me uncomfortable. It's unfair and when you die you got to take a long route to return. I this case, why should I "don't care", "accept" them and leave them everything's good and keep what's bad bad for myself?

I can take being ks every time I grind. I don't have a problem with that because I do it to every single player that grinds near me since beta. Do that in another mmo game and guess what? They'll pm you back or ask you to join in their grinding party. Them being friendly even makes me feel bad about it, and strangely enough I've made friends in the game that way. We chat when we grind, it was loads of fun.

Do it on sro now and more often than not, I get no response; and they're Farking everywhere 24/7. Of course there are spots further out, but **** that, the moment someone ports back to town, that spot is free for all. I'll pk or get them pk if I have to. What happens next makes me lol. They'll QQ and start to bitch about it. Claiming they've been grinding on that said spot for days (botting) and it's their spot. The friends I've known since beta have long left because of bots. I've been stuck with these retards, and I think it's hilarious (sarcasm).

Hate isn't the best word, and doesn't even begin to describe my feelings. At least rerolling a euro helped (and gravitating to other legits).

I might be wrong to post "the hate" on this forum, but when I read paradoxical statements like "some botters are ok" by supposedly legits, I'm like wtf is this person deluded? It's interesting to note, that the point of this thread was "why are you all still legit?", because that to me doesn't make any Farking sense. "Why do you still play?" would be enough. Botting isn't playing the game and I stand by that. If anyone thinks otherwise, then the question "why are you all still legit?" applies to them.

well, i read it all again and it didnt sound like i want. i used to be a "legit nazi", but now all i want is to hav fun with my friends online and try to not get pissed so much as i used to do. found a spot where i can grind my gt in peace, and hav some nice pvp after that. everybody knows goldbots are a pain in the azz and all the problems they bring to the game, but we all gotta accept things wont change so soon.

For me goldbot=playerbot, no difference. Both are run using the same program, i don't care if its goal is to collect gold or to level up.

The grind doesn't start until takla or even Roc..The places are packed with bots and no, not just gold bots. Hell gold bots aren't even the problem after that point. Every single room of the new cave is full of bots.. The higher up you go the more you notice the real bots from the gold bots. Without a party that can ks things..there's no way you're hitting 100 in a realistic time frame.
