Zooming in/out without a mousewheel

first question :

use my program + windows' software mouse :

Start - > Control Panel ->Accessibility Options -> Mouse Tab -> Use mousekeys
move the mouse with the numerical controls ( turn off numlock to activate )
set clicking to left / middle /right mouse button with "/" / "*" / "-" . click with "5"

second question :

yes a lot. especially at the garbage collectors. You know .. wheel was implemented later to the mouse. since my old one with wheel stopped working, I had to use my old one without a wheel
