JuelzSantana's story really does beg the question, if God is so great, why doesn't he prevent terrorism, poverty, war, selfishness, greed? Why would he want to make his 'children' suffer like that?

We have choices and options as humans to help our fellow man. We are judged on what we do and if we do it. People are in poverty not because of god but because we ignore them. War is committed not because of god but because of the corrupted war mongers that we let take power. Blaming all the worlds problems on god is a half assed thing to do.

Juelz, as its already said, god gave u ur sis. thats her destiny, its something u cant play with. and u cant change it.
if u have faith,u would understand that.. and u shouldn't call ur self Muslim, while u dont have any faith.

all of that.. people have there choices to do w/e, god didnt make earth for war, and he didnt put us here for war, its choices some people chose, they come and they die, their ideas may still and maybe it dies, its up to people what they choose.. u are not forced to choose something.. its up to YOU, u do it , and live with results.

Well you need to understand that an omnipotent god does not necessarily mean he or she is MEANT to protect us. It all simply means that he or she is our "creator." You people must not confuse religion, and the belief in a higher being. Religion does a whole lot of mess of things. On another note, nobody could be to "sure" if a god exists or not.

I like this quote by Stephanus.

Quote:
Also...
Still, he isnt evil or good, he/she is just a god. He does what he/she wants to do. Either we accept that or not. You cant change the way of life.
You can accept it.
If there is a god...

I think most of the ones (me included) that believe in evolution, are cautious enough to stay away from a topic full of very religious people (whom don't want to hear anything contrary to what they believe) ;)

I'm interested to, if these things can really derail Evolution.

and this.. "Isthmus of marine" , its written in the book, i just read it :P
"Recent images taken of the sea has proved that the sea floor is not uniform composition .. It is different in temperature, salinity and density and the proportion of oxygen ..

In the satellite image was taken .. The back side of each color of the sea is different from the other .. Some are dark blue and some black and some yellow .. This is due to different temperatures in each of the other .. This picture was taken and the thermal characteristic satellite is the same space "

And which holy book is this one? It doesn't make sense cause your not explaining it better. Anyway when something we know is mention in the Bible/ other holy book it is never in the same context that we mention it.

No it's not that, well partially, but also, because as you pointed out, the translation is barely readable. The whole message was "lost in translation."

i really really know that translation is bad, and im sorry for that.. i couldnt translate it well, because it says something that i dont really know what its exactly in english, and google translate is stupid, so i couldnt make it readable or even understandable.. but if u try to read a small, u may understand a point or two :)

@John_Doe , there is only one... we dont have tons of "holy books" , its 1 only.

those aren't prophecies and they didn't get anything right. People back then didn't know anything about how a fetus formed or about stem cells or about all the different oceans. Whatever they wrote down in that book was an archaic belief that may or may not have happened that they stole from other religions and teachings anyway. You assume that because it was written in the books they were the first people to conceive these ideas but you are wrong, none of the Abrahamic books are original content.

Traditionally it was believed that all things were made up of Earth, Water, Fire, and Air. Today that easily translates into the states of matter. Solid, Liquid, Plasma, and Gas that we know all matter takes. Does this mean those guys knew what they were talking about. No it does not. You can't claim they have knowledge or prophesied something they didn't even understand. They may have said things and after translations and interpretations those things could be seen as modern facts but that does not mean they were right because none of them could prove or had any idea of what they were babbling about. Its the same as the Greeks and their elemental theory.

You mean the muslim's holy book? Well when you said holy book I just didn't know cause there are alot of holy books. And if your just trying to prove your points with one random sentence from your Holy Book and comparing it to something similar from science don't try its already been tryed and shot done by many.

There's a difference between beliefs and religion.
