THE CLERIC TANK

Now, your first question is: What is a Cleric Tank?
A cleric Tank is a Character with the ability to buff himself and others while having the largest defence bonus possible.

Pro's and Con's

Pro's:
Massive defence bonus
Warrior Buffs (Best in the game IMO)
Parties will ALWAYS want you.
The SP needed for this build is quite low, so its a great build for fun :D

Con's:
No real second mastery, but IMO you don't need one.
Not really great for solo training (Powerleveling & Party Play <3)

Build:
Full INT works the best with this build because your main attacking skills will be magical.

Weapons and Armor:

Weapons:
Shield - This is your best friend, GET THE BEST YOU CAN!
Cleric Rod - Second best Friend, GET A GOOD ONE!
One-Handed Sword - Need this for Pain Quota, shop will do, go better for looks though :D

Armor:
Heavy armor - You NEED the defence bonus that heavy armor offers, so why waste it?
Robes - At higher level you can exchange heavy armor for a robe set if it has +5 and Full Blues.

Mastery:
Cleric - Main attacking skills with healing/defence buffs.
Warrior - Armor and shield knockbacks with warrior buffs.

Skills:

Warrior:

One-Handed Arms - Must level this to get Shield Trash and Shield Crush

Shield Trash - Hits 1 time, Knockback and Dull.
Shield Crush - Hits 2 times, Knockback and Dull.

Vital Increase - Increases your HP and lowers your damage.
Pain Quota - Causes the damage on one party member to be spread out evenly on other party members.

Physical Screen - Greatly increases Physical Defence.
Morale Screen - Greatly increases Magical Defence.
Ultimate Screen - Greatly increases Physical and Magical defence.

Cleric:

Heavenly Rage - Increases damage for Trial Cross, Justice Cross, Offering and Pure Offering.

Trial Cross - Deals damage to the enemy.
Justice Cross - Deals damage to 3 enemies infront of you.

Reverse - Revives another player (Reccomend level 1 for delvling farmers, Use reverse oblation for ressing higher.)

Faith - Increases healing power with smaller consumption of mana.

Over Healing - Deals Absolute damage to an enemy.
Glut Healing - Deals Absolute damage to 3 enemies infront of you.

Group Healing - Heals all party members.
Healing Cycle - Casts a healing spell that heals over 16 seconds.
Healing Orbit - Casts a healing spell on all party members that heals over 16 seconds.
Bless Spell - Greatly increases physical and magical defence for 45 seconds.
Recovery Division - Heals party members regularly for 5 minutes.
Group Recovery - Heals all party members.
Holy Recovery Division - Heals party members regularly for 5 minutes.

Group Reverse - Revives all party members at once.

Reverse Oblation - Revives and heals a player giving them an additional buff which lowers Attack Power, HP and MP but adds Defensive Power.

Charity - Increases the effect of Force Blessing, Force Deity, Mental Blessing and Mental Deity.

Offering - Uses 90% of your hp to deal massive damage to 5 enemies around you.
Pure Offering - Uses 90% of your hp to deal massive damage to 5 enemies around you.

Holy Word - Decrease effects of weakening, restriction and status ailment.
Heaven Flash - Puts enemies in flash trap so that they cannot move.

Force Blessing - Increases the Physical power of a target.
Mental Blessing - Increases the Magical power of a target.
Body Blessing - Increases a targets Physical defence.
Soul Blessing - Increases a targets Magical defence.
Force Diety - Increases the Physical power of a target.
Mental Diety - Increases the Magical power of a target.
Body Diety - Increases a targets Physical defence.
Soul Diety - Increases a targets Magical defence.

Now, as you can see there are lots of buffs and healing spells, That is because your main job in a party is to keep others alive.

Now, alot of people cry about being too weak to kill something, but just remember, Offering and Pure Offering are just as powerful as a rogue's Critical hits, so don't underestimate them.
(Level 100 Cleric using Pure Offering can hit over 1,000,000 damage *Ooohhh SHINEY*)

x_AnGeLiC_x One Hits Tiger Girl: www.youtube.com/watch?v=NR4BHet3MqM
x_AnGeLiC_x Maxing on a Mangyang(1,027,816 Damage): www.youtube.com/watch?v=d-2MXKYOTfM

This build was made to tank, ALWAYS remember that.
The Warrior is for Knockbacks (If anything ever gets close) and for the Screen buffs.

My Cleric Tank:
Currently Level 85, Deals great damage, AWSOME for parties, Great for KSing Uniques and Rocks in pvp.
Making some video's soon.

a cleric tank is a cleric in light armor with maxed passives... end of story

i dont see the advantage in getting more than 10 warrior lvls (enough for shield trash lvl 1)

If you're in a party and you already have a cleric.

If you're tanking, you need warrior buffs and skills to aggro mobs on you.

The Vital Increase is for using Pain Quota and for using the warrior screen buffs if there is already another cleric in the party.

It is already proven that heavy armor is better than the ligh armor with the passives.
Also.
Having the second shield trash spell gives you double the chance to knockback and double the chance of Dull.

Wha? The only thing H.A is good at is base physical defense. With cleric defense buffs, charity passive, and glory/favor armor the defense you get will be a lot better than if you went with HA.

+1

Better off going w/ LA

The Passives from the "Glory" tree require 2 essential items: Cleric Rod 'n Light Armor

Maxed @ 100 cap ...you have:

Glory Armor ~ 168 phy def
Favor Armor ~ 253 mag def

and Charity basically increases your buffs from the "Blessing" tree and increases your resistance to "Weakening Series" (Bleed, Burn, Darkness, Decay, Electric Shock, 'n Poisoining) by like 50%.

For an example...'ll just use the stats from npc 10d 3rd tier gear (0%) for HA / LA:

lv100 HA Chest, npc ~

phy def pwr: 251.2
mag def pwr: 328.8
x
x
phy rein : 38.7%
mag rein : 50.7%

lv100 LA Chest, npc ~

phy def pwr: 228.4
mag def pwr: 365.4
x
x
phy rein : 35.2%
mag rein : 59.1%

Looking at this, it's clear that HA tops LA in phy def going off the base stats....take into account the "Glory" passives, LA beats HA, hands down...

about the build, your better off going warrior/cleric as always and str cleric in parties. if you have a bard like u should, MP will never be a problem, and idk about u but i think STR>INT in tanking

lol and your job is to put quota every 5 minutes, and screens every 2mins to someone?! afk spot ftw

wrong, wrong and oh wrong.
first was already explained

Successive shots 2 Times
Front 2.0m ( Simultaneous 3 ), Reduce 35%
Knock-back probability 80%, 1 Time <------- otherwise the skill would have a successive chance of (1-(0,2*0,2)) bit too much ;P
Dull level 6 ( Probability 25%, 20 Secound ), 2 Times <-- first book 40%, second (1-(0,75*0,75))=43,75%...

and for dull: why do you need that? Apart from the the slow effect only real warriors can benefit from it (more dmg).

oh forgot one question: How do you KS uniques  ?

Well, Pure Offering deals enough damage to "every" unique exept Shaitan and BeakYung to get you the kill.

Say Tiger Girl was being attacked by a wizard and he has her under half health (400k damage), you walk up and use Pure Offering and do over 400k damage it becomes your kill, even if it was already under half hp because you did the most overall damage.

Cleric = Kser <3

And how are you gonna KS lets say Yarkan ? Isy ? you think doing offering every Minut is gonna be enough ? ....... That is if your lucky enough for the offering to go throug i mean the LY spawns and the Isy spawns prolly could get your HP bellow 95%..
like did you ever play sro ? or ?...

Here is a question for you: did you ever learn to do math or are you as retarded as you seem?

Isyutaru has 4,324,612HP
Using Pure offering you can deal over 1,000,000 Damage.

Ohhh lets say theres 10+ people on Isy at once.

almost 1/4 of the damage was yours, the rest is split between 9 other people.. so they deal about 400k damage each...

Oh look, you did the most damage, congratulations, the kill is yours.

Now go learn how to spell and count.

Um, the Youtube videos of that million+ damage are on a mob that HAS NO DEFENSE and has probably 6 debuffs on it, while zerked, and buffed.

Sure, soloing as a level 86 cleric I did over 250k to a manyang. Go try that on a lvl 90 party giant in Chin Tomb...it's about 40k.

I've battled Yarkan (when I was 80) in an attempt to KS someone. I found him with one other warrior tanking him and did 6-7 offerings, two with zerk. You think I got the kill? Um, no.

I really don't like this build.
Yesterday I was with a warrior/cleric partying with my warrior/rogue and he never put pain quota over me (I was using daggers).
Every time I pt with this person I die like 20 times and lose like 20% of exp... but I can't say no to that person.

Instead of pain quota he kept on healing me and he was like 3 lvls above mine.

Maybe it's up to the person who uses it... dk.

Edit: I wonder why some warriors doesn't have at least lvl 1 of Taunting, Pain Quota or any fence. They often forgives to buff their pt members.

Hm, think you're getting the builds mixed up a tad

Zelman's talking about an int (Cleric main) w/ a Warrior sub.

Should try to get a bard (even better w/ 2) and a cleric for the pt ^.^'

1 warrior (buffs / tanks)
1 cleric (buffs / heals)
1 rogue / any other str build (lure)
2 bards (buffs / recovery) better if they're int, so they can do damage, too.
3 ints...(damage)

1st of all, rouges shouldn't be asking for fences/PQ from warriors. Why? they need them on Wizards. 2nd of all, you're pure str why the hell would you need it? you don't turn on DD, or CE when in pt.... it's straight suicide. Since you're warrior/rouge, you're better off being the second tanker/lure.

answer your other question, that's because they may not have enough sp to gain it. That or they don't see the usefulness of it, since maybe they don't pt as often.

Well if your a warrior and you get cleric def buffs in a party + 1hand passive for example I think phy defence of HA would still be better + a higher block/anti crit. Compared to wearing LA with a cleric rod.

I also can vaguely remember HA got a higher parry max.

But well if you are planning to use a cleric rod definitely go LA :D.

I haven't asked but he could save my life many times instead of trying to heal me (I think i've lost like 20% of exp). xD
Just one taunt or a shield trash over the pt mob and we could be Ok instead of res me like 20 times.

OnTopic: sorry about not reading the whole guide before posting... I was a bit mad at warriors/clerics for dlvling.
