Then get a laptop and meh..If you get one of the best now I'm sure you can play most games, it's not needed to max every setting >.<

Thing that is really troubling me now is if this laptop will support and run them games on a playable manner, since I'm pretty put on getting a laptop :P

I have a core i3, ati 5650. 15.6" same resolution. I can play Crysis on medium~ settings. I can play SC2 on medium ~ medium high settings.

There's some perspective I guess..Your card is a good deal better than mine so you shouldn't be worrying.

Security? No body guards... yet.

Envy is a very big issue my friend. just making sure if you dont have enemies, bullies, friends that have envy issues(i have a friend once, and it didnt end up pretty). Your surroundings; are their thief outbreaks, lost valuable item reports coming out often, snatching/thief problems, and ETC.

it may sound stupid, and somehow i may sound like a MOM, but safety first! :D

those are some things my friend though before buying a Toshiba Qosmio X500 :P

and yeah i vote Notebook. it really doesnt outperforms a desktop but its a whole PC shrink just to fit in once hand and be carried around :D

Laptop is great for the mobility factor and since a laptop can boast the same stats as a PC it would make most people choose laptop. But from my experience despite having similar specs (CPU capacity, Ram capacity, etc), the desktop performs better and can go for longer periods without overheating.

Also laptop graphics is still lagging behind (a little) desktop's graphics capabilities. Graphics card power requirements might be the reason and a laptop's graphic card is scaled to work with what the laptop offers in terms of power. This is just my guess anyways.

If you need to have the most up to date hardware and be able to run the most up to date software then a desktop is the best choice but a good laptop from the right manufacturer not only offers mobility but will probably be able to play just about everything you need it to at reasonable settings for the next couple of years...

like people have been saying, if you move around alot laptops are the way to go but if you absolutely need the best then desktops are for you...
