first off... to whoever was talking about bandwidth... 5 servers for 50-80k means you're getting ripped off, unless you're getting blades =P.
as for bandwidth... my company spends easily over a million a year in bandwidth... so put that in perspective when you talk about bandwidth costs.
now, as for banning the purchases of silk, no one here has the right to tell any of us that pay for silk its a retarded idea. we, as players who spend money on the game, have every right to be disgruntled about the fact that we are not pleased with what we are paying for. that is OUR RIGHT as people dishing out money for silk. granted, it might adversely impact JM, but that is their own fault, not ours.
now, as for something JM should do.... this is not an issue about technical skills or lack of bots being banned. this whole charade is a PR issue, and a travesty at that. joymax is handling this MISERABLY. all that is really required is for joymax to let us know what is going on. we have appealed to the GM's on numerous occassions and they refuse to give us any official word on the progress of the removal of bots from the game. what were they expecting? for us to sit around, twidle our thumbs, and be content with everything going on?!
the best thing they did was a few months back, they were involved with the SRO community. they took 30 minutes to an hour a day to answer good questions from the SRO community and let us know what updates to expect and what the progress was on them. then it all stopped. the last update they gave us was date 09/05/2006.
so in closing, nightv, can you please request the GM's to be more interactive with all of us playing the game? it will show that they care and patience on our part can be expected in a much more appropriate manner. otherwise, they can expect this banning of silk to continue even more.

That is both the question we have and the answer joymax should provide.
At this moment we have nothing except the answers that are given to us by nightv. And he isn't even related to joymax (two thumbs up for doing this)

i fail to see how that is retarded. that is the MOST powerful method of getting joymax to be more proactive, by attacking their finances. if everyone continues to buy silk just as much as when the bots weren't around, what incentive does joymax have to remove them?
-when employees go on strike, they are losing out on pay, but they do it in hopes of getting a bigger gain (a pay raise or benefits)
-when a manufactuere makes a defective product, peopel threaten lawsuits in order to get it recalled (and the manufacturer doesn't recall because they want to be nice. its because the cost of losing would be too much)
-when a manufacturer uses child labor and we boycott, its so that the manufactuer stops using child labor. do you think those people that originally boycotted nike still boycott nike?
boycotting the purchase of silk is the ONLY means we have of motivating JM to take any affirmative action against the botters. if you think its retarded, its because you lack clairvoyance.

boycotting silk is more something like a drop of water on a hot plate.
first off i think only a small % does boycot buying silk
secondly most of them are capped and since this game is kind off build arround being capped atm. most other players need the Gold Tickets and the monkeys to level at a descent speed.
I do not agree with your examples:
Quote: -when employees go on strike, they are losing out on pay, but they do it in hopes of getting a bigger gain (a pay raise or benefits) When a strike appears the whole company is stopped. So there is no income. The silk boycot is only done by a neglectable % of the players. Quote: -when a manufactuere makes a defective product, peopel threaten lawsuits in order to get it recalled (and the manufacturer doesn't recall because they want to be nice. its because the cost of losing would be too much) we did not buy this game nor was there any guarantee on it Quote: -when a manufacturer uses child labor and we boycott, its so that the manufactuer stops using child labor. do you think those people that originally boycotted nike still boycott nike?
It's not direct financial loss on short notice that made Nike change their policy, but the financial loss on long terms. This would have destroyed their name / brand due to the fact popular players would refuse wearing their shoes/clothes because they are made by children. That action would have cost money cause those players would have used another brand and fans/people all over the world would have bought that brand instead of Nike's.
If you would compare this with eg. Robbie Williams openly declaring that he plays SRO, thus making loads of people play SRO, and after a while Robbie declares he boycots silk because Joymax does not support te community that would make a bigger difference.
BUT WE ARE GETTING OT HERE

Hasnt been any for ages. also Gargamel did this when me and cuchulian got back from the gngwc. and he even posted about it. and when i wint in to the caves there was a total of 5 people there right after for about 4 hours. also no they dont have time to do that everyday, and you thinking so is retarted. gargamel is one of 3 gms for iSRO, he has to translate stuff from the game. most the stuff you see is his translation. crayon is trying to handle the ccf problems right now. and that is alot of work think of all there server with all the ccf thats going on. dont realy know what pizza does. never asked much about her. do know its a girl. think its like all a round trying to help thing she does MrJoey wrote: nightv wrote: also do ou think they read these forums? hell no they dont.

there is only 3 gms for iSRO, this is a thing they want to change they want more GMs but only these 3 speak english well, and can talk with players. they dont just check on botters they look at lag and game play see if things are glitching and what areas need more mobs. This is the idea i had in mind, you dont have to buy silk im not telling you to, but to boycott it just cus you think that help is retarted. remember joymax does not make alot of money in a real sence it goes back in to the game for the most part. and when there is less money there is less money used on the game to make it better.

Hi guys, after reading all of this, i cant be more pro boycott, not cos i like rioting for nothing but as someone said it's the only way (so far) to make JoyMax notice users.
Also those who say that JoyMax OWE us nothing cos it's a Free Game, they are wrong, they owe things to us to begin with theres an EULA, that (if im not mistaken) has the value of a contract, the second u strike one with an american citizen u are legally bound to american law so to speak, JoyMax has to comply with certain degree of consumer satisfaction, or he might be liable and get their a$$ sued.
Now u all will said, that yea but it's just 15 bucks, or 60 bucks, thats not enough, i got a word for u, Class Action Suit, yea how many do u need 20? 60? and like what 30 bucks to start it, and some lawyers and there u go u can sue JoyMax, are they waiting for that?, i mean, it's doable (just asked to a friend) even if JoyMax doesnt have an office in america u still can sue it, doesnt matter if it is in Korea or Spain as long as it's in a country thats in the WTO u can sue!, i even think that if the trial start u can even file the CEO for extradition to US soil, omg that would be funny bringing GM gargamel handcuffed to an american airport in an orange outfit.
Sure at this moment (?) noone will dare to pull something like this, but remember, u not only sue to get an action taken, but u can also get the company fined for a few million bucks, that got to be distributed between the people suing, (courtesy of lovely lawyer fees) so, if JoyMax thinks that they can get away with not being accountable they are plainly wrong.
IF they are upto their noses with Work they can hire more people if they desire not to do so, its their problem not the customer problem, also security issues that deal with american credit data are subjected to certain things that must be accomplished like , obeying/implementin/taking into consideration things like Sarbanes Oxley, and COBIT, cos believe it or not Joymax is a corporation, not 3 guys in a basement coding for free.
People wake up and smell the roses, PR Stunts means nothing, the fact that only 2 (02, two, II) customers can talk to Joymax representatives is ridiculous, sure they will get their inboxes maxed if they come her or if they talk in public or provide a phone or a messenger contact, but u know??? believe it or not most corporations have a 24/7 complain phone line (thats even free to call for the user) dont u know that for example DELL has a customer service line where angry people call threaten poor indian support guy , and the support guy is mandated to acknowledge all the tantrums that the consumers can throw at them?, its not cos DELL is nice to people, its mandated by law!, so where's the JoyMax Hotline?
Foreign Companies should learn that by dealing with american people they just cant step on them like they are used to do in their own countries. And by this i wanna say im not xenophobe but thanks to god America can provide (at least in theory) some kind of coverage for consumers.
So, should i make a poll, about who would join a class action lawsuit against Joymax?

your retarted and your mother was a frying pan and your father was a small goat.
no you cant sue joymax, no your not paying for the service so they dont need to give you anything, by playing the game you agree to THERE TERMS OF SERVICE, you cant make up your own, its not your game.
and note america does very little in the way of consumers, if you look up federal law, i dont even think you know what that is, but any way. your what like 12 or somthing and think that you can sue any one for anything.
also this is not joymaxs veiw in any way shape or fourm, this is my own veiw and if you think you can sue me for saying this go ahead and try.

*Sigh*, lets see who's 12, the one talking about getting lawyers or the one calling my mother a frying pan?, anyways, doesnt matter, unless u are a lawyer or are going to be one, u can shut up, sincerely, America doesnt do much for the consumers, but the american laws do, IF used in a proper advantageous way, (they for a reason exist ok?), nothing more like a motivated lawyer (u know $$$) to bring down a corporation that has a hard time even talking english, also remember there's NO FREE GAME, there's no free lunch, thats a figment of ur imagination, a mirage, all has a cost, for u and for them, the only thing that changes is the way u get the $$$ from the user and thats it, item mall, advertising in game, monthly fee, all are the same, revenue, and u should know that.
Also if u think that the Class Action Suit against Joymax would be dismissed cos its in South Korea or in some other part of this planet, and they are safe and the american laws dont do anything for the citizens, then whats ur problem, why dont we find out and sue them, after all u are right , right? and nothing will happen to them.
It seems i struck a nerve here, angry responses show that.
And to end I wouldnt sue u for anything, i dont have a contract with u, u arent providing me any goods or service, and the first thing u learn in law college is u dont sue poor people, i mean who knows maybe u are rich, but im sure any corporation is richer than any person, otherwise u are bill gates son or some other uber rich kid.
Peace

You mean to buy another server setup?
Look, I would really like to ask you some questions about kSRO but you keep posting these statements that are getting the topic off track.
I appreciate anyone who comes to help, with knowledge of what we might expect. Thank you for that.
Please try to understand that you are poking a hornet's nest with a stick, and things get bit when you do that
We are people who love this game and want to focus on having a good gaming experience, but it is really hard right now, with the current situation and the total lack of communication from JM.
How can we possibly think anything is being done to resolve when it has been bad for so long, and keeps getting worse?
And then we see another frigging server upened up
We are frustrated and angry.........forgive us.

Your comparison with Dell makes no sense
All customers that have contact with dell are costumers who bought a Dell. Simple as that. In that buying contract there is a little clausule called guarentee and another one called protection of the clients rights.
Now we are playing a free game we donwloaded for free from them without any advertisement whatsoever and without no-one forcing us to spend a single $ into it.
They did not in any way sign a contract with us saying they will keep the game bot free, they will answer our calls and emails, etc...
In the end they don't have to do jack shit! The only thing they accomplish by doing that though is less costumers=less potential income.
And what about we get back OT

This is getting a lil way out of control!!!
OK listen up everyone, Night and Cuch came on here to answer questions in the best manner that they could, WITH the knowledge that they have gained from actually talking to Gar cay or whoever AT JM. Not some rumor passed by one player to the next to the next til it is totally distorted out of belief.
Some of u are trying to turn this into a dang flame war on your own behalf !!!!
I have been playing puter games since before alot of u were a twinkle in your mothers or daddies eyes, very few games esp over seas games where the english language is not the main language do what some of u are asking. As night said only a few at JM read and speak the english language, so that is one reason we hear so lil from them, heck u think its so easy try speaking korean or any language not native to ur birth.
Am i happy with the things going on in Isro , no BUT i can understand why we are not promised such and such update on such and such a date. NO business in there right mind would do that, that is asking for problems.
Alot of the info night has given has helped me, such as the bot problem in Ksro that they are fighting right now, people they have to perfect a bot tool before they can implament it on Isro, night said the new bot tool was going to be implamented with the next update(hopefully), amoung other items so YES they are working on it.
Nether Night nor Cuch work for JM, they are mearly players TRYING there best to help us the players with info they have spent there time and $$$ in cell phone cost to find out. SO CUT THEM A DANG BREAK.
They do not have to do this, it is not part of there gaming NOR enjoyment to try and come on here and GET FLAMED. They are just trying to let everyone know what info they can share with us.
NOW i am not trying to flame anyone, BUT u all have to understand Night and Cuch are the only links we have to JM the ONLY people we have that can try to find out the future happenings that are coming for us, THEY ain`t getting paid to do this, so take ur flames elsewhere into another thread and please let this one stay a question and answer thread where night and Cuch are respected for the EFFORTS THEY ARE TRYING TO DO FOR " US" not themselves.

I stopped buying silk since few weeks ago, when the lag all of the sudden got way out of hand following the ban of the VN IPs and new svr upgrade. How am i supposed to train with gold ticket in cave, when i lag on average 3-12 seconds for hours (i guess i play at peak hours), as hard as it is to find a good spot in cave to train due to all the botters, now i have to deal with the lag. So until they do something about the lag gold ticket is to me a waste.
I just want to point out a few thing:
The ban of VN did not helped the lag at all.
The upgrade of the new svr didnt do anything to me, except kept me from the game for almost a whole week due to the DNS issue, wasting my goldticket and monkey time.
Some people on this forum are just plain stupid and really dont know what they write about.
I dont care much about the gold botters or the ccf because they dont stop me from lvling up, but the lag and the crowded room with botters in cave does. So if Joymax can change anything, fix the lag and botters, oh and I dont give a shit about the update or new svr either. JUST LAG AND CAVE BOTTERS. Then ill buy another goldticket and more monkey time

Sorry for the wall of text quoted but I don't have time to filter it and delete it. First Crit, Gargamel didn't speak about the ccf'ing - the developer of L2 and EQ did. He was also the one that explained to me the history of bots on mmo's - and that on OTHER mmo's, specifically 1 of the above, the GM's were the ones creating, maintaining, and running many of the bots. He was also the one that clued me in on the ccfing. But absolutely none of that came from Gargamel - are you kidding? I said quite specifically it came from an outside developer.... Love you bud but be accurate in your quoting.
As to nightv's comments - dude get your head out of your ass. The Silk Assistant program is still running quite nicely thank you. The only silk assistants that were removed were those that were A) inactive and B) doing the job for nefarious reasons [i.e. rong_wei]. Chameleon and I are both listed as Silk Assistants for Babel, we still work with them every day, and Gargamel announced on Babel a few weeks ago to the noobs so that they would know for sure, that yes I was a silk assistant. I know the names of all of the current Silk Assistants for each server, if anyone needs the list in order to survive I can post it.
You know, this whole GWNGC thing was frankly annoying. HHCD returned to Babel full of piss and vinegar, and proceeded to tell ppl that he could have them banned outright, chat banned if he heard them curse, bleh bleh u should see the screen shots (which have yes all been turned in to GM's) - he went so far as to state that Joymax should pay HIM because he submitted bug reports. And he too became Gargamel's "close life long friend and confidant".
OH right and Mr. Bright Ass - there is a trade hack, and sweetheart I dare you to give it a whirl. It's working on Babel - a guild with a programmer in it decided 2 see if they could get it to work - and successfully hacked each other (not really but they tested 2 see what info they would get). The more I read your post, frankly, I think you honestly don't know what you are talking about. The only valid thing you have said is that Gargamel has taken a week vacation.
And as for "never having bin" (you guys believe a guy who speaks like this?) in contact with Gargamel, I'll ask him on msn next week who u are - I get incredibly tired of these ppl that said "Hi" to a GM once and have become their long lost cousin twice removed on their aunts side and claim to have the "inside" scoop on Joymax. Give it a rest.
OH RIGHT and the ??? response you posted. Bleh. IT'S NOT THE VIDEO drivers, monitor drivers, keyboard flux capacitator... what a dumbass response is that. It is absolutely impossible that [for example] Criterion's video driver is bad, he gets the ??? error, and takes out an entire grid section of Hotan with him. Do you even play this game? We get to report buckets of characters to admin [whom we never speak with cuz we all don't really exist here in the SA program *cough*] who get caught in a graphics glitch and cannot log in past character selection without getting a ???. GM's reset them ALL THE TIME.
OH and the lag? Caused by people's terrible at home personal computing systems that in North America are run by cheap hamsters and broken wheels? Nah. The new clientless bots are causing this. Server traffic only appears to be up because now a person can run as many characters on one pc as their own personal system can handle. Thus the scores of 3-20 bots running in every spawn on every map. You would know this if you actually played the game....us unemployed SA's ran the spawns - go look at chajkis, tigers, demon horses, ghost bugs, scorpions, red scorpions, ongs, maongs, bunwhangs, spiders, golden spiders, mujiglis, shades, yetis, penons, sonars and earth ghost bugs. Each spawn is covered by a large group of bots set to ks, pick up gold, only pick up their items (which is fun cuz when they ks each other they both leave the drop), aggro on anything but a player ( so yes taking a camel and spawning lvl 70 thieves does accomplish fun results), etc etc. They even repot together - thus the bot lines at the repot npc, and the bot line jerkily running out of town and getting hopelessly stuck in a wall.
I know everybody is dying for answers - no kidding. I know everybody wants change - count me in on that. But I'm not entirely sure this guy has any idea what he's talking about, and I'll be copying/pasting this for Gargamel and Crayon and we'll see what the REAL gm's have to say about it.
The TRUTH of the matter is that a certain GM posted that there would be changes by the end of October, hopefully soon. That's what he said. He said THAT. The words that came out of his mouth were distinctly and introvertibly like THAT. Those are the only WORDS any of us can honestly believe because THOSE ARE THE WORDS ACTUALLY SPOKEN by a GM, not a guy with a floppy hat and a crystal ball. If you have questions ingame, PM me on Sutaseyu or Insatiable. And if I'm AFK - don't bitch plz, it takes up too much space.

another question; will joymax EVER consider lowering the prices on the 8th immortal and astral stones? paying 5 bucks for each, a combined 10 bucks, to just
make your item failsafe at +4 is quite expensive (not counting the numerous alchemy failes and the combined $ count on d8 astral and immortal stones by such)
when you fail once and add another set of d8 item mall alchemy stones is the equilavent of a golden ticket and pet revive clock.
they are not only looking at lowering that but lowering all items to max proofit gains, when the game gets a little older you will see this happen. The_KlNG wrote: Myquestions:

boycottt silk until we see real action from JM and not just word. zero_Doom already answerd the others so let me just tell you this, iSRO makes the most money for them, and you boycotting silk is the most retarted thing i have ever heard of, do you know why people boycott? its to shutdown something and stop it form going on. and thats what boycotting silk will do. because more people read english then the other languages of SRO. JM either fix problems or get a few loans. nightv wrote: zero_Doom already answerd the others so let me just tell you this, iSRO makes the most money for them, and you boycotting silk is the most retarted thing i

1.She said that joymax was actually making money out of CCFing, that mastercard still pays them.
2.She said the bot was actually made by joymax for of course more profit, and that they can actually code something to prevent botting.
3.She said the trade hack was actually existent, is this true? ALL OLD SILK ASSISTANTS WERE DISSBANED AND ARE NO LONGER SILK ASSISTANTS!!! this is one thing they did not post about but happend already since they did not do the job they were given. as for the questions 1st=Sutaseyu has never bin in contact with GM Gargamel or ANY developers. the developers of the game were not even realy around the GnGWC and the CEO and director of joymax were there. beside the fact they all speak korea and no very little on the ways of english 2nd=no joymax never made a bot nor to they max money from it. the bots use a hard coding that is hard to remover from the system with out banning there accounts 3rd=no there is no such thing as a trade hack or any hacks on this game, that is one thing that i know was made form a lot of level 20 new players when they got scammed by some one else. so no there is no hacks as of now, cus i know some one is going to breing up the time rock and talka monsters were spawend in hotan and down, like a year ago, which was totaly fixed.

OK well now I know you are full of shit, because Gargamel specifically told us at the first ingame SA meeting, that FRAPS/pics were NOT neccesary to report a bot because they would *NEVER* use player supplied FRAPS/jpgs to ban an account ANYWAYS. That is why we have always told everyone just character name/server name - because THAT is what the gm's asked us to do. They will NOT ban based on anything you supply them, they err on the side of caution in regards to banning, and will only ban a bot based on what they see personally.
As for SA's on other servers - please do not be so egocentric to think that because they don't visit this forum that they don't exist....La_fronde is quite active, as are the Troy SA's. We are down to 2/server at most I believe, but my goodness most of us avoid forums because of things like this....plus la_fronde in particular speaks french... so an english language forum is probably not his cup of tea.
nightv wrote: also if you want to ban botters and you see one, take a dam video!
pics mean jackshit ok they can be faked to make it look like some one is botting and they are not.
JM wants to make 100% that its a botter before banning!

Sorry for the triple post but one other thing I forgot to mention - we also asked Gargamel, again at the first ingame meeting I believe it was - about the mastery cap and if it was going to be raised when lvl cap went to 90 - and he said very specifically that he really doubted it. Assumably because that makes the difference between a great character and a weak one - planning and forethought into your character.
So just FYI to anyone who thought we might mastery jump to 600 - don't plan on it. Plan on redistributing at 80 and again at 90. Lord the amount of misinformation being tossed around as fact at the moment is mind boggling.

I know that Crayon at least DOES visit forums.... She knew about Fly and I getting married and even watched my movies, all of which were here.
I dunno how in depth they read he forums, but I do know they are aware and have been here.

Thank you Suta.
If JM had more sense they would provide staff to communicate with us (service) then we wouldn't be having these confused threads.
Your English skills are exactly what we need

Lets see if I can summarize.
Nightv doesn't believe the SA program is working,
the SA's don't believe that nightv is in contact with the GM. and further, you go on to say he is lying and that you do know some of whats going on but neither you nor the GMs will communicate.
How messed up is that. I don't know who to believe, but I don't think nightv is lying. Perhaps you should talk (like on vent or TS) to each other and try to figure it out. I believe we ALL want the same thing.

Maybe he doesn't want to talk to you on msn? thats why he gave me his email and personal phone number? hmm you might be right there........... Ever try putting that email into MSN messenger? I would PM it to you to prove that we are not full of shit, but to be honest I don't 100% trust that you already have it, and I won't be responsible for leaking it as Gargamel only entrusted a few of the SAs with it. You may not be able to see the SA forum on the official web site, but I still can. I appreciate that you're trying to help out, but for god's sake, STOP talking as though you have the last word on everything just because you had face-to-face contact with Gargamel for a week. Some of us have been working to help the GMs out for months and we do know what we're talking about. nightv wrote: on the issue of silk assistents. most have ether stoped playing ben proven as botters or have had negitve reports. Windgod was taken off the SA list almost immediately because he had been previously given a 1 month botter ban. I don't know of any other SA who has been banned for botting. Yes, we on the servers know which SAs are legit or not, and the unhelpful ones were cut out a little while back leaving about 2 active SAs per server. Get your facts straight. nightv wrote: also if you want to ban botters and you see one, take a dam video!
Wow, you're really making up shit now, huh? GMs have told us in the SA forum to give ONLY the character name and server. People who upload videos view the log weeks later and see that they've never been watched. We can't prove anything. The only proof the GMs can use is proof that they find their own way.
