Just auto-update. If you can't access the update server, change your hosts file to have the new ip address.
Example: Browse to C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc
Should be the correct path for you If you're on an XP machine.
Open the file "hosts" with notepad
Add a line under "127.0.0.1 localhost" or whatever the last line is.
121.128.133.26 gwgt1.joymax.com
Save and close the file. You should be able to start up the game and get your updates to the newest version without having to worry about that manual patch.
well, it might not update and give you an error stating 'silkroad is updating, please connect to website, blablabla' (at least, that what i got a while ago after formatting) no start button is comming, no updates are being done.
manualy patching also doesn't work since the manual patch requires another version off the game then the install file.
solution: search internet for another slightly older manual patch, install that. after that you can normally boot up sro and it will download the other needed files to update
(that's how i had to do it not yet a week ago)
