this one made me lol

what kind of running means walking?

in a car, running out of gas

you have to walk

was confusing, we call it petrol here and there was a 3 letter limit for the 4th word, then I thought of gas, what americans call it, heh

Or the bible.

Or a history book.

One of those. :P

*feels smart*

Some kind of record-keeping thing :D

A time capsule :?

Wow. Had to get out the pencil and paper for that one. I was stuck on a few parts, but common sense FTW. Then I guessed and checked it a bunch until the results worked out with the constraints.
Let's give this a shot.

Roxanne Simpson / telephone / kitchen
Clara Griggs / hi-fi / living room
Kylie Dingle / computer / conservatory
Amy Williams / tv / bedroom
Michelle Pringle / bookcase / study
