So, I'm in my 6th period class until 2:25((end of the school day)) listening to music. We took the gay TAKS test this morning. We were in a room for FIVE HOURS taking a test that should only take two or three TOPS. I finished in like an hour and a half but whatev. I kept trying to fall asleep on the desk but it wouldn't work. It's like one of those things that are attached to the plastic blue chars. I didn't have one of those little bars on the side so I fell out of the desk twice when i managed to fall asleep. THEN! Both my arms kept falling asleep so that woke me up. I need a few suggestions on how to sleep on those small things. Heeeeelp...
<3<3<3
P.S. TAKS test is the state test to say if we can graduate or go to the next grade.

If you're having problems with sleeping on desks, I suggest sitting up straight and try to bore yourself. Look at the wall or whatever.
Then you'll start yawning and when you're getting sleepy the desk shouldn't be a problem.
Else just fall asleep on your arms or book or whatever. Else just lean your chin on your hands and sleep, you'll wake up easier though.
It's easy!
Though inform a classmate to wake you when you're sleeping during a lecture or something. I've been waking up in the middle of a lecture with people I didn't knew. >>
Err I mean shame on you! No sleeping during school! Not even when you got nothing to do!

Yes, do set the human alarm clock. Listen to her, she's a specialist at this area.

It's about self dicipline, being persistant and lots of training!
It's not just a thing you master in 10 minutes! More like 10 years!
And about the human alarm clock, it really does excist right?
If I want to wake up at 4 am, I really do wake up at 4 am! It's so weird!
Especially since I'm always late... >>

I fall asleep in class a lot. I mean don't get me wrong I pass everything.. *Cough*Ceptforgeometry*Cough* Class is always boring and when you go to bed at like 10:30 or 11pm at night and wake up at 5:30, it's harsh if you don't have a tiny 55min nap during the day..*Cough*Orthree*Cough*
Am I right?^^
I just need better ways to sleep on those damn desks, lol.

Tooltip: Use your sweatshirt as a pillow and/or drool sponge. Sleeping is also easier with it.

Or try glasses, and instead of the glass, you paste a lifesize photo of your eyes. Nobody will notice a thing. They might wonder if you ever blink your eyes though.

Lol, nah, would be a waste of money if I can wake up myself ne?

I've never been seriously asleep at school cos i was to bored to fall asleep .
But a classmate told me this is supposed to be the most comfortable position
And if you've got a pullover, use the hood as a cushion to avoid the cold hard desk .

I hate that. I always sleep on my arms (even in bed at night) so that happens to me a lot. Sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night and can't feel my arm at all. It's scary as hell at first, but i just give it a shake and lay back down.
Anyways, back on topic - I used to have a really big goose-down jacket for winter that was soooooo soft, made sleeping in class a lot easier. Since its not quite winter anymore, i'd suggest a sweatshirt. If its too hot for a sweatshirt, then i guess you're shit outta luck b/c no position is comfortable in school for long.

she mightve been required to ask u, in my school whenever someones asleep the teacher is required to send that person to the nurse cuz he/she might be on drugs and the nurse is supposed to check u. Luckily i had a cool teacher so i always slept and never got sent to the nurse.

Sleep in class.. that's where I was a Farking viking.
I have a Ph.D. in sleeping in class.
Credentials- 105% grade first half of year in math class in 11th grade. 1-2% grade second half.
There are several ways in which I slept or fell asleep.
Lay both you arms on your desk on top of eachother, rest your head on your forearm or in your elbow. In your elbow enables you to shut out a lot of light enabling you to fall asleep easier tahn if you have the flickering classroom lights all up in your eyes.
Put your forehead directly on the desk. Nothing more to it.
Put your backpack/bookbag on the desk and rest your head on a comfortable part of it.
This one works mostly in the desks with the arm rests to the side, lean to the side completely, and rest one arm fully on the desk. The desk should be digging into the side of your ribs . Rest your head on your arm, and with your other hand you can do whatever with it.
Rest your handso n top of eachother on your desk, put your forehead on your hands.
This one also works only withthe desk with the doohickeys on the side. Kind of difficult to explain, put your arm out like if you were to get bloodwork done, but then while keeping the arm in the same position, pull it all the way back on the armrest. The hairier part of your forearm should be on the desk, getting crushed by your upperarm. Rest your head either diretly on the desk or on your other hand/arm which you put on your desk.
If you start breathing at a slower steadier rate, you will eventually start to get tired and fall asleep.
Man I loved highschool... I slept so much. I would look forward to classes just to sleep. I remember one time in history I fell asleep, later in the class I looked up and about 90% of the class was sleeping too. Another year in history I fell asleep and looked up later and all of my row was sleeping
Gawd I miss those days.. some classes were so comfortable to sleep in.
Do it while you can people, sleep in school, you will miss it later on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sleeping in high school is the shit. It's a lot better than sleeping in college. In college it's just a waste of money.
I remember falling asleep in Geometry literally every single day. Hell, sometimes I slept through the entire day. Seriously every class (7 per day) I would go to sleep. Then sleep on the bus ride home. Ah...those were the days.

Lol, like Gandalf!
Would be funny if the teacher asks you something while you're asleep with open eyes.

Lol, yeah I remember this kid in my class who used to pass out in class all the time. We would stick post-its on him or put pencils in his hair so he would freak out when he woke up. hehehe. Funny guy... too bad he killed himself last year.
