Hi, im new to Silkroad and i have read guides to a STR Glavie but im getting realy worried about the gap talk. I dont understand what it is, my character is lvl 8 ´have i ruined anything if i have done/used a gap?

well your gap means the highest mastery lvl (blade,glaive,bow etc.) - ur lvl so if ur lvl 8 and ur mastery would be at 0 u would have a 8 gap,
if ur lvl 8 and highest mastery is 8 u have a 0 gap. and also having a gap doesnt do any harm (the higher the gap the more sp u get and u really need sp for u build)

No, that is the distribution of masteries. for example (in the very, very far future): 150 fire, 90 lightning mastery, 60 heuksal.

Your highest mastery is lvl 7 + your character's lvl is 16 = 9gap

well if u have a 0 gap u wil get max xp/minimal sp per kill
however a 9 gap u wil get minimal xp/maximal sp per kill

Read guides about SP Farming, they will explain Gapping.
I wouldn't recommend farming your first character. Takes the fun out of the game.
