I am a total noob in this game.

i have tried to make a bow character and i can survive against white mobs rather well. however players can take me out with little or no difficulty. i have tried the merchant way to gain funds only to lose every load and all my gold. i have tried being hunter only to be oneshot killed by players that are lower level then me.

eveidently haveing all the bow skills available to me (2 steps lower than xp level) is not enough. i have tried adding other skills but that only uses up my mp with no real apparent help on my staying alive.

what i need is to know what bow skills to have and what force skills will complement those bow skills. and how do i remove the skills i do not need.

Where did you put your points into and what lvl are you?

Oh and can u show me ur character by putting in his masteries in this site? http://bobtheveg.dyndns.org/SRO/Char_Build_Applet/ you can also find it in the guides section and then look at the sp farming in the bandit stronghold.

it's not completely dependant on your skills in this game.. let me put it better

the reason why your having trouble jobbing and pvp'ing sounds more down to these:
build (your str,int /or balances) and your gear (blues,type etc)

if you give us a bit more info or some screen shots of your character window you'll get a bit more help

yeah screenshots would be great.. press C make a screenshot of that screen that pops up.

if you can't do that give us your

• int point
• str points
• mag balance
• phy balance
• level
• and mastery lvl's would be great too (like cold lvl 20, pacheon lvl 18 or w/e)

then we can help you.

but by your story it sounds like you made a heavy int hybrid of some kind.. and yeah that builds s.ucks pretty hard if you are a archer. I joke about it..and imo it's the worse build you can get.. but no conclusions yet.. just post your info first

Don't be shy to show pictures of yourself on the internet, people can help you out.

And for all you perverts out there I was talking about pictures of the online character showing Stats, skills, and/or equipment.

yea well ur skills are all over the place lol you have fire river and ice river thing? why? u should start again and i advise you to read a guid on build a char they are very useful

I only got basic force to ress and do a little heal. nutting more. its not gonna ride up much. just to keep up with ress need. not to be used in battle.

you said get passive? uh. ok.. but what is passive?
i need skill name.

i agree remove fire river. its gonna make me difficulty. it not compatible with cold river.
ill get others mentioned.

i cannot equip a shield unless bow becomes 1 hander. i can use magic shield i guess. Oh i see. i put on shield to buff then put bow back.. that works.

as for protector, do you mean the half cloth half leather thing? not use metal??

you'll find all passive skills at the very bottom of skill list e.g. cold tree and scroll right to the bottom.
Passive skill are just skills that once you have them there constantly envoked, e.g. cold's passive skill adds towards physical defense +2.

i'd follow what jichiong suggested and focus on your main skills more, but reason your having trouble jobbing is just your level really.
I know the guide said at level 20 you can start but you should really wait till your 30 or trade together with some friends.

my advice is start over... lvl 20 is like 3 days work.. and what you got now... well it will take some lvl's before you can make this into something not everybody will pwn.
What you got now is basicly a 1:1 hybrid. with no focus or line in it.. so go read some guides.. decide what you want to make..
pure str/pure int or some kind of hybrid
then decide what weapon
then which forces

then you go and start a char. cause what you did now..
it's prob a first char and everybody f.ucks that one up. You just did it a little worse then everybody else.. but the sooner you know that.. the less time you waste on it..

just to clear up,

u equip shield, buff (fire shield), equip bow (shield will be removed), the buff will remain.

Well if you want to be a bower you should be a hybrid str or pure str bower. BEing a pure int bower makes no sence its just retarted. So i think this is what you should do...

Weapon:Bow (find the best bow!)
Force: Ice (secondary fire)
Stuff You Should Wear: Protector or Armour

yeah. you should be sure if u wanna be hyb archer, if the 70:70 is becoming quite common. but dont realize 2 late that this build might be cocky or something. ( i know about this, i had this issue with some lv 66 bs build, lol.)

go and read some guides and build something that ownz.
