if u look in ur silkroad folder ull see a file named media.pk2

pk2 editors back this up in case they screw up and need to go back to the norm

soo i dont have to put nothing in the folder i just leave it like that all i need is hex edit and xvi32 But what does extract pk2 do ? i just leave it there?

I will ignore your 2nd post, it makes no sense. In response to this question, all u have to do, is find the file called "media.p2k" ... right click on it, go "copy" .. then go to your desktop and paste. You do this so just in case you stuff up your editing, then u have the original on your desktop. But IMO if u cant copy paste u wont be able to hex edit.

lol... no one else said it in details as it is pretty self explanatory for anyone with grade 8 computer skillz. But i still hold by what i said, some of the more complex PK2's are hard, ive tryed them. You will struggle to do them. Though simple things like changing 7th degree weapons to 8th degress weapons shouldnt be a problem at all. Even the wolf isnt that hard.... with the right guide.

WAIT! where the hell is the copy key on my keyboard?

no seriously, media.pk2 is also encrypted and u can undo it with certain programs, so... yeah, in case you screw up an edit
