About him using words in wrong context or position is obviously a big deal. I would immediately make a topic about it. Also, before judging someone else's education, or lack thereof, look at your own grammar and spelling. One more point, just because you don't talk with big words and correct grammar doesn't mean that other people don't. I'm sure there are plenty of 16 year olds who talk like that in England. Hell, I'm only 16 and feel its pretty damn satisfying to have a good vocabulary. Just let him use it, let him feel proud, and get off his back. Oh yea, I forgot, hes just some dumb "kid."

imo big words is what english is all about, it make sit sound great, and more importantly differs it from 'american' speech.

Look at shakespear etc, now those are some nice words and sentences.

English isn't my native language. But when i use it, i try to use as many big-fat words i can.

They forgot a noun or misspelled the noun.
Something like "Your cerebral cortex is small" or "your cerebrum is small" would've been correct sentences.

If people start using "big words" just reply in a nice and polite way what they should've said instead. This way they become angry and you can have a good laugh.

I'm not going to argue about what big words are because it depends on your own intellectual capacities. For a 12 year old cerebral is one, for someone with a degree in neurosurgery it isn't.
