Blades / Swords have an attack distance of 0.6 meters. Glavies / Spears have one of 1.8 meters, I think, and Bows have one, without Buffs, of 18 meters (I think).

He might just be asking if he could have a longer reach. The answer to that question is, no. The only Active Buff that you can use from the Pacheon Tree while having another weapon equipped is the Hawk Training Series. The Passive from the Pacheon will also apply, but nothing else.
If you were thinking that it might add some extra range to your Flying Dragon, sorry, but no. It'd be cool, though.

Lies lies and more lies... you can use that skill series and get longer reach. I should know because i had it. It really does lengthen your reach so use it if you want to. KB ftw =p

EDIT: BTW of course you need a bow equiped when you use skill but you don't have to keep bow on, just switch back to glavie. And... i'm not too sure but i think nuke range is affected too... just kinda hard to tell but definitely normal attack range is increased.

EDIT EDIT: you won't notice a big difference until you lvl the skill up but when you do.. all of a sudden you are like "whoa... I attack far!"

I'm sorry, but you're wrong. Blades and Swords have a range of 0.6 meters. Dragon Soul Arrow (3rd book), gives you a 4.0 meter increase at L1.
That gives you a grand total of 4.6 meters, just for the first book.
A Glavie / Spear has a range of 1.8 meters. That gives you more range than twice of a Glaviers.

Well im kinda confused because some so I can and some say I can't.. well, if you turn you screen so you see rhe side of an glavie char, when he is attacking, the glavie actually doesn't touch the monster, so why no get longer range?

But on the otherside, hmmm?? Need like one from Joymax to answer this, cause they know best, LOL?

well anyway thanks for replies! :D

ok think of it this way....

1.8m+ ~4.2m from the bow skill = about 6m.

thats like you swinging your glaive in the air and its still hitting the person.
itd be so stupid, but at least the person would be like wtf and if you lose you could be like turks and say "LAGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG"

Kinda racist, Fudgy. Keep it clean. :P
But he got the basic concept right. It's common sense. Ignore Sekkaigen - I think he was thinking about something else. If you expand upon what MrFudge said, a sword/blade has an attack distance of 0.6 meters. If you add 4.2 meters to do that from the buff, your range would effectively double 7 times. Do you ever, EVER see any sword users wacking you from outta nowhere? No.
Case closed. The buff ONLY works if you're using a Bow.
