Well right now I am Pure int S/S and I am level 49 (50 very soon). I see that a lot of pure ints have been adding some strength in and I would sort of like to do the same.

My question is What set of levels should I put STR in and how much of it should I put. Take into mind at level 3 I accidentally put in 3 points of STR :P

If I do go hybrid would Garments still be a viable option as I love them  and yes my 7d Armor/garments etc will have a lot of blues.

Thanks I just want the heads up from some pros before making a big decision

:D

if you really wanna go hybrid, it will only make lvling up harder cuz you will have less damage output, so do it as late as possible.

also go with protector not garm.

Its not really a matter of what levels you put STRs, but more like what your mag balance is when you are naked.

I would direct you to some hybrid int guides already made, but i don't feel like getting the links :P

I'll sum it up quickly tho.

Most people opt for a naked mag balance of 85% to 90%. That is generally the range of balances of hybrids (that is what makes hybrid hard to make right) choose wisely. 85% will have more hp, but less nuke dmg (most spear users choose this) and 90% has less hp but more dmg (most s/s use this).

Kitary's hybrid INT s/s guide will have you at 87% naked mag balance (i used the char builder to check).

So just pick the balance you like and add str WITHOUT GEAR until the desired mag balance ^^

well, true, glaivers are very strong at the current skills and lvl cap with the xlrg pots. But ints are truly underpowered with the current skills. INT power comes from the dmg of the imbue/nuke. So if you are judging hybrids suck when their potential are 10 levels behind, you might be mistaken. But then again, u can hide behind ur spear fan...

Wait till new skills come and see...you can always become hybrid, but once you're hybrid there's no turning back.

no turning back if you're pure either ... so that's a null statement.

If you are gonna go hybrid the you should use a spear, cause s/s hybrid's don't do much. I speak from experience. Many ppl here probably nkow that I'm switching cause s/s barely kills anything without 100%int on everything.

I meant that he's 4x so if he goes hybrid, he'll always stay that way but if he stays pure, he can still go hybrid later on.

As it has been stated many times already by going hybrid you will loose nuke damage. By going hybrid you will gain HP. I think that is a fair trade in my opinion.

To go hybrid pick what naked balance you are looking for. Basically how much hp do you think you need. Play with the character builder and pick a balance that looks good. I suggest 85% but that is just me.

http://bobtheveg.dyndns.org/SRO/Char_Build_Applet/

NOTE* Click on the head icon and then make the character level 80. then distribute points to see the hp and balances change.

Then as you level put all your points into str till you reach that balance,
and then distribute points as needed to keep your balance.

When you go hybrid you will probably stop looking for mobs you can 1 hit kill, and switch to mobs that are a 2 hit.
With decent gear you will tank and kill multiple mobs with splash.

Make sure you max knockdown and stab. And the throw attack is nice and quick, with good damage. Also look for high crit swords for pvp

I still need to decide whether to hybridize or not, level 48 atm opening a nine gap and farming at 52, but I'm going to wait for the new mana shield to come out to see whether or not it's really needed.
