Heh, yeah, I get that feeling sometimes. Never understood why they use ActiveX instead of something like flash O_o I mean heck, look at FFXI's website (Playonline.com), one of the best MMO company sites I've seen simply because it's.. well, simple! KISS-U FM (sounds like an internet radio station, no?) is a damn good philosophy, especially when it comes to computers. For example, look at craigslist. The front page and the basic page layout is so simple that even I could probably mirror it fairly accurately just from looking at their page and writing the HTML code myself.

they dont require you to use Ie it's just the site is too retarded to do any of the major things outside of ie.
Actually, they do. Go to their website with Firefox, they have it set to redirect anyone who isn't using IE to a "go use IE." page. Which is really stupid, since the page would probably work mostly fine in FF anyway. Like I said though, it's their loss. If I ever would buy silk, I'm sure as hell not getting on IE just to spend money on a company that doesn't seem to want my business anyway.
However, I don't mind getting on IE for free crap
