i look around and i see that 95% of lvl 80+ have at least one sosun and most of those who have one (in my server at least) can't play their characters i see lvl 80 pure int sword with full sosun and he only uses nukes in pvp lol

because the monsters that should drop 9th degree sos are here, but there is no 9th degree so they drop 8th deg sun.

Wow. 95%?
In my whole union, we only have 1 sosun weapon. And I think only 3/4 sosun pieces. And considering how large our union is, thats a very small percentage.
As for why there is so much sosun. Well...its drops as rare as sosun does for 8d, but I believe it also drops at the time 9d sos would on the level 76+ mobs. As they can't drop 9d sos, they drop 8d sosun.

if they cant use thier build.
they botted.
if they cant use thier build AND have full sosun, they bought gold and botted.
if they have full sosun BUT can use thier build, idk maybe thier rich?

if that was the case then why didn't they just make it so 9th degree sos does not drop AT ALL it makes much more sense than turning them into sosun

I saw a SoSun spear user nuking away in PvP back when I played Chinese. Now maybe I'm biased because I hate nukes, I much prefer the melee skills combined with imbue and a decent weapon... but it seemed like a waste to me.

I know a certain someone in Jam has two pieces (i'm pretty sure) and the sun wep.. but wasn't someone else buying another sun wep? Can't remember who.
Anyway, I think Soda's theory is right; it makes sense.

Well, seeming as I haven't been active in a long time, you could be right. Still...the point is, its a very small percentage

because that would suck all the joy out of grinding the last 4 lvls to 80 and whatever farming your gonna do thereafter, prbly alot of people would bother to keep playing if they took that small ray of hope away lol

Yep. sounds correct to me, cause the same principal applys to all other suns. e.g. An earthghost drops 4 th degree equiptment and weps usually so it has a higher chance of dropping a 3rd sun rather than a 4th sun. Many ppl Have confirmed that they get all of their suns from a mob that should be dropping the next degree up.

Why is there more sosun then sos? Because everyone wants sosun and not sos, bots grind as fast as they can to the cap and then farm for them for a long time, more time spent on higher lvls = more time to get sosuns~
lol I wonder just how many sosusn there would be without bots o.o.

imagine all the turks being gone, the amount of sosun would drop by at least 50%. them people be going at it 24/7 on aege, its like they're full time sosun hunters and could open a 7/11 sosun store if they wanted too.
but yeah, i checked rev6 for sosun parts on the majority of known players and i was surprised to say the least. people who started with only 1 sosun item in the beginning because they were either too poor or simply couldnt find it themselves were wearing at least 3 now.

we're between 8th degrees - 9th degrees
sosun = sos 8.9th degrees
becuase we doesnt have 9th dgerees and the cap stand on 80
sosun drop rate is like 9th dgerees sos
if we had 90 cap
99% of the sosun's were sos 76~81 items\weapons.
