I just wanna make a pretty good euro char so I was wondering is its necessary to farm sp for them cuz their skill trees seem much more different then chinese...so I'm not sure if it will need more or less sp to fill.
or do I gotta go get a sos xbow and go to bandits.... :D

I would say it varies by class and by sub how much you will need, and how full you want your sub to be.

I play a wiz with a bard sub (only 2 skills from bard used) and at 50 I have all skills maxed that i use and have used a 0 gap the entire time with a skill tick, but now to keep skills past 50 it is impossible with a 0-1 gap alone.

To be 80 with the current build I would definately need to farm but not anywhere near the farming required for a chinese char.

However if you plan on having a fairly well developed sub with a comparible sp requirement to your main then you will definately want to farm either with a small gap for quite a bit or a more significant gap for a smaller period.

I would say you would need more then 50k farmed to have a minimal sub and get capped skills, and maybe 2-3x that to have a fully developed sub.

Might want to check the euro sp calculator, I think i saw one posted under the skills section before.

Euro SP calculator is at http://silkroadaddiction.com Scroll down to Skills, you'll see it listed there.

Yet people still told me I shouldn't bother farming.

30k now, 30-50k more at 50-60, rest at cap... and I'll sit here laughing at those who gave me grief then cried about SP costs after realising themselves.

You should go read the Euro guide they have here... LOL I told them, every euro needs to farm, they said, oh nooo, they dont. Im like ok, whatevah. I guess it slows them down so they only pass me up for a level or so while I farm.

Wrong. Every class needs at least 50-70k to get a minimal amount of skills up to 70 or 80. Farming is still a must, just not as much. You can have a fully farmed class with every skill with about 90-130k.

People who thought they wouldn't need to farm whatsoever and still have a capable character were living in a dreamworld. Just because you don't need 900k SP to fully farm yourself from 1 > future 90 cap, doesn't mean you shouldn't do minimal farming.

Not to mention if you plan to be the more capable of the Euro PvPers, you're going to require dual-skill trees IMO.

I use to think that euro chars don't need to farm.
Well lvl 32 Rogue with Rogue masterie at 30 and unable to pick/upgrade 4 skills because insuficient sp.
So, Euro need to farm, maybe not a hell of farm, but really need to farm, and i'm a pure rogue, still no sub.

If you use an SP ticket you're fine. No need to farm. Unless you have classes with bunches of skills. Warrior/Rogue(If you just go with 1 of em) you don't need to farm at all.(At least I didn't need, but then again.. I stopped leveling at lv 35.) The others I dunno.

3 gap with any euro build and you won't run out of sp. Possibly 4 if you're a wizard.

My build sure as hell requires farming. I'd have to keep a constant gap of 6 levels otherwise and find it too cumbersome to level that way. I rather focus at one thing at a time: getting XP or getting SP.

The problem with euro is that the gear you can wear is determined by mastery lvl. So if you want to do one big 9 gap farm that means your wearing gear thats almost a deg below.

Combine the lower lvl gear with the fact you dont have stuff much better then npc available to you and 15 sec pot delay and high lvl gaps are almost impossible to pull off.

With important skills only you can go with gap 0/1, else if you want get all skills for 1 tree, 2/3 will be more than enough. Tho leveling with a wizard gap 9 isn't hard at all, i've been 1-hitting level 12 monsters. :D

warriors and rogues

can live of a 3 - 1 gap the whole game , but if u farm like 10k ur safe the rest of the game , just keep a 1 or 2 gap after u get done farming 10k or 5k

I'm the same.

I've been stuck in my 30s for about a week now, while a friend of mine who was 32 when I was 35 is now level 47 while I'm at 37 still.

But who cares... it's either exp or sp for me, and for now, I'm choosing the latter. 23k farmed so far, and I'm on an 8 gap (level 37 using 23-29 armour makes levelling ridiculously difficult for me). Hoping to achieve 9 gap as soon as I find a decent party which doesn't get me killed every 5 minutes. It wouldn't be such a big issue, but when I die and lose between 2-3%, that amount of exp is about a 1.5 - 2 hours to gain back on the mobs I'm able to kill.

People say I've farmed enough, but since I'm going Rogue sub-class and I plan to almost completely max it (both daggers & crossbow), I need as much SP as I can get.

well..you can wear armour like mastery lvl 45 and if you delevel mastery the armour is still there..only that if you get it of..guess it won't work to put it back on you.it works to keep it on you if your mastery lvl is 40 and your armour needs 45 but i'm not sure if it will realy protect you(i think it will..did what i said and i didn't saw any change in the dmg they do on me).after i'll get to lvl 49 i'll dlvl with the quest to lvl 40 and i'll start farming a little.

Be warned that the Euro calculator should only be used as an approximation because it's not finished yet. There are still some skills below 60 that are missing and all of the 60+ skills aren't there.

If anyone has information about the missing skills or anything above 60+, I'll be glad to update the calculator.

It's getting there. We aim to make everyting you need to know about SRO available in one place. Its a lot of work, but we keep plugging away.

Good news everybody, I'm only 5k away from my planned 30k SP now. :P

Thing is, I haven't even hit 9 gap yet... might be tempted to get more than 30k if I gain it at a nice steady rate with 9 gap.

That's a matter of opinion, one I'm hoping I disagree with when the time comes.
