 Post subject: error booting the game

I have installed 3 dif downloaded vertions of silk road. i click on the exe it starts for 3 seconds and auto shuts off . i have no anti viruse , and my firewall is off can someone help me out

Post your system specs and all that crap

Also you probably should get some anti virus and a firewall if u dont have them :P

it Auto closes once i double click on the exe

Probably a connection problem....whats your connection type? Cable? DSL?

dsl ultra, it some form of soft prob i think she updates only in Safe with networking

Do u hav silkroad already installed?
If yes, go to c:\program files\ rename or remove silkroad folder.
Try the installation again :)

same problem here.
no software firewall
router network - for test prupose every port opened
macbook pro running bootcamp
newest display drivers and dx9c version.
any ideas left?

same problem here... its not related to any internet issues as my other computer hooked up wiht a router works fine. Sro worked fine before, but since euro update, it doesnt load anymore... when i double click the .exe that little box where u normally click 'start' doesnt appear.

That usually happens when you have an older version of the client which doesnt do auto updates anymore.

Happened on my laptop shortly after the euro update all i hate to do to fix it was redownload the client and it updated fine and the start button came up. Try that if you havent already.

ive downloaded the latest one and installed it, still does the same, ive updated to latest direct X aswell

Tech help, FAQ sticky 3# try the things out there.

If they don't work then you've most likely got a virus blocking updates from getting through, as you can still connect to the internet via your browser?
