Rumors about gold bots...

Theres a rumor that i've heard that Gold bots and Gold supporting websites are related...

They said that Gold bots with weird names are in large numbers, about more that 1000+ are created and in different places, Gold Supporting websites are using them to kill and collect gold and stuff (sometimes if items that are useless they sell it to the NPC to gain gold) they have a certain time and schedule on where and when they are gona trade gold to each other to create big amount of gold and when they got the essential gold they trade it to their master where the master is a anonymous char.

remember when a new server opens you recognize a Herd of bots are in front in the fountain in jangan and mostly in Hotan were gold in large amounts drop there...

it does sound true...

Yes its true. Gold selling websites use in game bots to gain all that gold.

Oh, you're not alone in this. I'm sure alot of new players dont know the inner workings of the shady underground gold transfers. That not only sounds true, but is whats happening on every server. Gold selling (and buying) companies think they can circumvent the game rules by not botting for the gold, but merely purchasing the gold from suppliers (gold bots, and players), then redistributing the gold to other players. However, buying/selling gold, chars, ingame items are all against the game rules, so they're not in the clear. But, it isnt easy for JM to close a gold selling website :/ (international law etc).

So thats pretty much the situation right now. As long as there are gold bots, there will be excess gold. As long as players buy them, theres a demand for it (which keeps gold sellers in business). Banning gold bots is only half the solution :S

Gold farming companies buy gold for cheap from sweatshoppers then sell to the public for a nice slice of profit.

Believe me when I say I know when and where on 6 servers ^_^. I'm in uni atm so I can't get to my main pc and post a pic of my old guild before mass bot bannings. Let's just say out of a 50/50 only 3 survived ^^

You may hate people who recruit goldbots, but who cares? I get near enough free mercs

this is so old... all the sites use gold bots... if you didnt know that its really stupid... most of the bots are higher than the lvl mobs to dont wast pods but still get gold from every mob and items!

i would rather Joymax supply them with gold directly rather than make them bot all of it, at least that way the servers would nvr be full

good idea
but then joymax would lose be good 2 keep bots and sell gold then pt and + gold income

All companies dont want 2 lose all profit if it means 4k ppl might go blind but they save 100k dollars thell do it
