happens to me sometimes.
i used to always reinstall sro.
but i found, if you rename sro_client in the silkroad folder to somethign else. then try and launch silkroad. then when it fails, name the file back and launch it, it will work.

I thought I was the only one who got this error  Every time I encounter this error, I just log off my PC or restart it.
But I'm getting more of this after the last so-called fixed update. 
Hope it'll be better next week.

go to c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc open the file named hosts and ad this at the end:
121.128.133.26 gwgt1.joymax.com
121.128.133.27 gwgt1.joymax.com
121.128.133.28 gwgt1.joymax.com
should help a bit against DC too

Just keep restarting it until it works, took me like 10 tries

Just close it.
Open up internet explorer.
Open sro (if it doesn't work, continue to the next step)
close SRO
open SRO (It should work now).
