joymax can't afford to hire english-perfect game translators due to the fact that it makes a monthly profit that is much lesser than what the gold-selling/bot-selling companies earn in 1 week.

As for topic, guys, it doesnt matter if the english is hard (imo, easiest), Joymax is a company with an international product, they should have taken care about good english, but seems like they just dont care. I dont really care neither, except it makes me hella laugh (yes, ignorance makes me laugh), and even more reassures me JunkMax is a junk company.
NOW POST MORE BAD ENGLISH FROM THE GAME!

Actually, numbnuts, according to most linguists, English is by far one of the most difficult languages to learn. Yes, many of the Asian languages are difficult, extremely difficult, because they are phoenetic and not based in any of the classic languages like latin or greek. but still, english is considered harder. Which is why I commend those that can learn english, especially those who speak a difficult asian language.

The reason english is hard because english seems not to follow any rules. The meaning of a word is inconsistant and it changes over time. The vocabulary is also small too and not enough words to discribe to everthing.

Everybody seems to dodge around the core issue here... Who cares how difficult it is to communicate in english in a written form and that it is a second language to Koreans, this product is marketed to the international community and has to use english to do so. As a company, Joymax should have hired a better translating company to do the job and should perhaps have corrected their mistake after they realized it. Trying to excuse for the lousy grammar and spelling mistakes in the iSRO version with something as sad as the "steep learning curve" for english is just bullshit. English is my third language and even I will have my work double checked [when it's needed for something such as a job interview or formal publishment] by another who is more well acquainted with the language...
*EDIT* I honestly don't give a shit about the grammar mistakes and spelling errors that plague sro. I'm here for the gameplay and as long as the text communicates it's point, I'm happy. But, that doesn't mean JM shouldn't work on it.

as an international product that uses english, imagine how much harder it must be for some one that doesn't know the language that well, it must be to have bad english all over the place. If you barely know the language, having it in proper form and no typos makes understanding it alot easier. But they don't care about such things, just to humor the idea i put the language setting in german, and turkish, only to find out nothing in the game changes, all quest info are english, all the menus, the help, the langauge option is pointless.

Hmmm, from my PoV as a Vietnamese speaker/writer, English is an easy to speak language ignoring the accents as long as you are able to pronounce the words close enough. As for writing, it's not as hard as you think, learning verb tense and other tenses are not complicate at all.
I mean I am self-learning Korean atm and I found it is much harder to learn (already memorized the basics) even when most of the time am around Koreans. This is probably because I am not familiar with characters since Vietnamese context are Latin based, same for English. What weird is that I automatically learn to speak English after my 1st month in school in the US when I was 12 (no English class taken before during that time). Even before that, I was already able to understand the basics of what people were saying. As for my writing, it came pretty quickly after that.
But as for Korean, I find it to be a lot harder to learn and more time to be spent to learn.

Try suomi or spanish, if english seemed hard for you, you'll self-destruct.

Today's linguists can't stand discussions on whether a language is easy or hard, it just doesn't make sense. People tend to classify like this based on learning as foreign languages which is rather pointless. It all comes down to the knowledge you already have, such as your native language, concepts within your culture, and the list could go on if i weren't so lazy.
If English was harder than an average language (please define this average language if you can), it would mean that native speakers need more time to acquire it than children of other nations. Well, it's not this way. Children of average capabilities (a bit easier to define) but different origins start speaking at the same age then in later stages they can express themselves on the same level regardless what their native language is.
Learning your second language is a different story. For example, there is a Cloverleaf, 8 years old, starting to learn his second language in elementary school. As the kid's native language is Hungarian, he has to get used to formerly unknown concepts, some of which are common in Indo-european languages but far from Hungarian. Let's get an easy example. In Hungarian you don't use plural when you tell the quantity. Our specimen has always said "cats" or "2 cat" and been pretty content with it. So he has to learn that English works in an other way, plural is always plural, big deal, anyway it takes time to get used to.
The same Cloverleaf is 19 now, he thinks Italian is cool, and starts to learn. Oh wow, it's pretty easy, plural is like in English. Our dumb Cloverleaf has a chance to learn it faster than English because of some common mechanisms. (Please don't ask why I still don't speak Italian )
Time passes, Cloverleaf falls in love with Japanese culture and thinks he can learn Japanese language. He's so proud of his (very limited) knowledge of foreign languages, and tries to find the seemingly obvious common things. Now he knows that plural in his native language is quite unique, so every foreign language works like English, Italian, and everything but Hungarian. Dang. There's no plural in Japanese at all. Our dumb specimen finds Japanese freaking hard.
Leave this Cloverleaf alone and try to create links in different directions. Our 8 year old English speaking child starts to learn his second language. Which one of the above will he find the easiest? Probably Italian, Hungarian will be quite weird, and Japanese will be nearly impossible to learn. Let's pick a Japanese kid of the same age, what will he think?
edit: On topic. Yeah, I love Joymax too.
edit: Sorry for all the mistakes. I've been working for 11 hours.

lol u r the king nice sayings.
More on topic, there is no explanation, nor u can use an excuse like "english is hard", to justify JM unproffesionalism. They just dont work hard enough. That is why the game is like this.

So you dislike JoyMax now for spelling errors, or why did you make this thread?
I should expect minor errors like this to be the least of JM's worries.

Read the 1st post. I made this thread for fun, but too many politicians here turned it into a lingual disccussion. I just wanted ppl to post more stupid things. I personally find em very funny

something about going east but your suppose to go west. hahah
If I remember correctly, when you first create a Chinese character and log in, the very first screen that comes up tells you to go see General Soyoheon (sp?) at the south gate. He's actually at the West gate. It took me a while to find him.
