well you see now bloom who legit they attack ...Is any threads about B** well on others ppl to ..who are legit but be attack..And this stuff about sos and other BS etc Pict and so on

After reading this..i dont want to be legit anymore, i want to be...Chippendales.

Anyway...it's really annoying sometimes, when ppl trying to share their ideas how to defeat bots...flame starts


BOT BOT BOT BOT < is that word hurt your eyes? I guess no...not for me atleast. You ppl getting WAY too serious with this, no bot threads. You always say that this is only a game...so if it its only a game, why making such seriuos trouble about bot threads?

The simple fact here is not to start a flame war or anything is that it kinda seems wierd that we have somebody here that was banned for botting that is arguing for legits... I think that the point might be better made coming from somebody that wasnt banned for the thing they are arguing against... seems logical.


I am legit never botted never will bot and the disgusion about it on the forums doesnt bother me that much... it bothers me when somebody comes and blatently advertises the fact that they bot... but it doesnt bother me enough to make a fuss... I am botherd more by legits that argue about the meaning of the word.. saying silk isnt legit blah blah blah

Legit is becoming generic and overused, not to the point of 'noob' or 'pwnz0r3d' but notheless. I agree that legit players should be able to advertise that, even without proof. It's up to the guildee to decide whether or not the guild is legit, just like it is his/her decision whether or not to join the guild itself.

OK, agreed. That is when moderators come in handy. When threads get hijacked, curb them, delete posts, etc. Dont just shut down the whole topic the minute the word "legit" or "bot" goes into it.

imo, BlackFox is a byproduct of Ryoko giving up SRO for WOW. He got banned, remade himself an account, refused to leave and Ryoko said hell with it and let him stay once he survived the longest thread in SRO history. Im not expressing an opinion one way or the other because that will most likely get this thread locked. lol

I have to admit that recently I have considered giving up on SRF ... not SRO but SRF. Why? because I have to agree with nightbloom and Fly that it seems to be more acceptable on the SRF forums these days to be a bot than to be Legit.

Btw ... legit means to play by the rules. I am also getting tired of the attitude here that buying silk is somehow bad. Why people are willing to hand over hundreds of dollars to the parasitic bot and gold companies but then look down on people that are willing to support the company that actually MADE SILKROAD is mindboggling to say the least. People that make something like a game deserve to be paid for their work.

I am a legit player and belong to a legit guild. Our guild is in a new (for us) union and I am fairly sure it is legit also or at least mostly so ...

I used to love the union we were in before this one ... It started out as a fun group that had time for trade runs and unique hunting and us lower levels were encouraged to come. Being legit was encouraged and supported ... any bots were kicked ... and my guildmates and I were leveling slow but we were leveling and having fun.

But then there kept being whispers on union TS about how great botting was and more and more of the high levels in some of the other guilds started botting ... "in self defense to keep up".

It was strange, you would think if people were botting there would be MORE time for other stuff on game but just the opposite happened ... all they did was grind, grind, grind ... too many as bots ... with no time for anything else ... and union chat and TS went quiet. And us lower levels were told to wait ... and wait ... and wait ... that once the high levels all got 80 ... all got fully farmed ... all got sosuns ... all blued and plused those sosuns to 100% ... THEN there would be trade runs and unique hunts and fun again.

But that never happened.

They all quit because they got bored. Maxed out characters with awesome gear ... but they were having no fun and so what was the point of playing SRO? So they moved on to other games.

Us lower levels are still around ... still having fun ... still legit ... and not in THAT union anymore. The high level characters from the old union are still around though ... being botted by some guy for gold? I miss the people that used to actually play those characters. They were fun people and it hurts to see their characters as stupid bots.

And my guild with our group of low level legits aren't so low level any more. It has been about a year now but we are catching up to those high levels that are now bots and in some cases have passed those high levels characters.

I wish people could see that the point of a MMORPG is not to "beat the game" ... the point is to have fun over a long time. The grind is long and hard to keep you playing and it is meant to be done a little at a time over months or even years. I wish more people could understand this and not worry so about "levels" and just have fun and play the game the way it was meant to be played.

Wake up SRF. I liked being here because you gave hope for legit players like me. Loose that and SRF is worthless.

It's not a bad word in my book, no. But, unfortunately, it's come to the point where one is legit only for one's own satisfaction, no longer for simply obeying the rules of the game, which seem so much in doubt in this stage of iSRO.
Agree with nightbloom however legits being suppressed on a forum is pretty wrong, but I personally judge people for how they are as a person, and its their choice if they want to bot or not (They won't be let into guild and union though regardless of how nice they are). If they're asses about it that's one thing, if not then it's sure as hell better than a racist legit imo. And how is buying silk not legit? Let's go back to basics: what is a legit? In my definition, it is one who does not violate or circumvent the rules of the game. Not who hits lvl 80 in x amount of time or who has a +7 or higher or anything, it's what they did to get it. I'm perfectly fine with someone who didn't bypass any rules getting an SoSun, making it +9, and owning the server. They are still legit in my eyes. Anyone want to add anything to that definition?

edit: and i'm proud to be legit, never done anything illegal. And if i ever do so, i will just quit the game, this is a GAME, which means to have fun without breaking the rules.
