I want to make a 70:70 archer, but I'm not sure which force to pick. Would like to have a main force to lvl 80 or more and a sub force to lvl 60.

Pacheon at lvl 80 or Max
Main force at lvl 80 or Max
Sub force at lvl 60

Among the 3 forces, Cold/Fire/Lightning, which should I pick as my main force, which should I use as sub?

I think I'll need Cold to be at lvl 60 to utilise the Snow Shield (40%). Can someone help me out please

First of all I would recommend PURE STR...anyways if your going to be 70:70 then be Lightening since your going to need the speed to run away from pvp fights and job fights...and you can get the lightening nuke if you want...if you have time to cast it by the time you die...

lol Darkmaster is funny. :D

I really recommend maxed or near maxed light for piercing force/grasswalk.

LVL 60 ice minimum for 40% snow shield. Well you could get away with only 35% I guess.

lvl 32 fire min so you can be ice immune and have some physical damage buff and passive.

So then you just have to decide, if you want to be max damage, then max fire for buffs passive and imbue, and light for piercing force.

If you want to be more of a tank max ice. (being fast from light also keeps you alive longer.)

During PVE, will lightning lure too many mobs too me? Since 70:70 doesn't has that much HP, I'm afraid it can't tank too much.

Would the difference between Ice and Lightning imbue be great at high levels. Being able to freeze opponent seems really cool! :D

Short answer is yes
Obviously the number of mobs you can tank will depend on the quality of your gear and weather you are wearing protector/garms.

I wear protector with max HP and near max STR on everything. This gets my hp very decently high. If i get to many mobs on me I frost nova and phantom away. I also have snow shield which at lvl 60 effectively doubles the number of mobs I can handle at once.

If you look in my sig there is a link that shows you exactly what the difference in damage between ice and light imbue was for me. You can assume that the difference will grow slightly at cap.

Currently I grind with ice and pvp with ice. I can switch if they are immune, but I usually don't bother.

Something you should realize is you don't need to have the fire shield buff to be ice immune anymore, all you need is any low lvl cleric to buff you. I will say though that currently at my level only about 20% of people are ice immune, and about 40% of higher lvls.

I guess so few people are ice immune because so few people use ice imbue. However some nukers are switching to ice, so more people will bother to become immune.

I voted fire, because im going 80 pach 80 fire 60 light 60 ice.
Going 60 light doesnt make u lose alot of mag dmg.
54 actually gives already a very nice increase: 15%.
At 90 cap light will give 18%. Not much of difference eh?
3% and u have a imbue that does less dmg and is very unstable.
Phantom doesnt increase much with book 2, only 0.5m per 3 lvls.
And speed, just ask for moving march :D .
If u leave fire at 32, u will have 8% phy dmg buff.
Fire at 90 gives 18%. That 10% dmg counts. Especially with crits. And u will have mag def buff. AND a stronger imbue. Which would make up for the 3%.

The only way i would drop fire is to have amazing phy def of the ice buff. And go light imbue. Cause u cant leave light at 30.

the difference between ligtning imbue and fire imbue isn't high...bit overal damage more for fire (but you CAN do higher with ligtning)
*i think the difference isn't 3% can someone correct me*? (maybe on the imbue damage ONLY??*

imho, (i will never get sosun gears, for the next 2 years at least lol) you can better have a full maxed ice three, it will let you survive so much better

however for 80 cap 80 fire/80 ligght/80 pacheon/60 ice is proberly better, im talking about 90 cap

With the 3% in my text im referring to the mag dmg increase buff u lose when leaving light at 60.

for a 70:70 build, i recomend Ice and Light to be your forces. You NEED the snow shield. When you think about it 70:70 can tank as long as a pure str. They might have half the HP of a pure str but if they are using snow shield at a high lvl you get 50% or what ever. Doesnt that make you tank basically as long a pure str? Im pure str bower myself :D

That means, I need to have Ice (as a sub force) at lvl 60, to get the snow shield of 40% dmg absorption.

My main force should be?
Lightning for
- faster walking speed
- parry ratio
- mag dmg increase

Fire for
- higher imbue dmg
- mag def buff
- phy dmg buff

:? :banghead:

Ice at lvl 60 gives 40% snow shield, more than enough for a 70:70 which should use 35%.

I actually think I might have been confusing in that quote. What I was trying to say was..... I am in good quality protector, and I tank well enough. If I am in a bind ie. giant and 3 party mobs, I frost nova and phantom away.

Overall it sounds like you have a pretty good grasp on the Pros and Cons. Now it just comes down to your playing style/personal preferance.
