Correct. That's why people are getting 'hacked', which actually means friends are screwing over friends.

Go to http://www.joymax.com click in the top right on [EMAIL VERIFICATION]
Wait till the page loads ... enter your current id + pw, then it prompt you for your email. It may take a few tries but you will eventually get a code that looks somewhere along the line of: 099CX67XC5V5XC7687X6C9808V in an email.
Once you got this, follow the link in the mail.
Congrats you have successfully ensured safety
... Oh yeah to save yourself from an endless page load thingy, log in before you verify.

Unless the email verification isn't turned on automatically for ppl if they don't do it themselves.

Are you at the beginning of the process? Or have you already entered the email into your account? I had some trouble with mine at first, it didnt like my first address for some reason and I had to make a brand new gmail account to get it to work.

1 email can be only 1 time in the database.
They lock 1 account maximum to 1 email.
If an email was registered in the original database at an account it can't be used
again until it gets changed.
Had that, so have to rotate emails around a bit before did the final setup.
All before the verification activated on them.
Example:
On the silkroad homepage account1 registered at 2005
account1 - "account1@account1.com"
On the new site
account1 - "account1@account1.com" is not accepted
setting account1 to "account1beta@account1beta.com" accepted
changing email of account1 to "account1@account1.com" accepted
activation email verification to account1
got code sent to "account1@account1.com"
entered code on the sent link and locked account1 to "account1@accoun1.com"

For mine, it just wouldnt send the verification email. It accepted it just fine, just wouldnt send it. Changed it to a brand new gmail account and sent it no problem. Doesnt matter, I always set my gmail accounts to forward to my pop account and never log onto them again anwyas. lol

Yes noticed that it won't send the verification email to some host sites.
But even they say that if it's not sent no problem since code lives only 2hours.
And they recommend if email wasn't received to change the email in the account setting to other.
No clu why they reject some email hosts.

The way I understand it is that, instead of being able to make new password, you get your password emailed to you. Meaning, the hacker has to know your email password as well, no?

dats correct, but u dnt get ur password e-mail to u, u get a e-mail verification code, which u use to activate the personal information section which then you can change.

Doesn't even matter with this implanted. It gets worse now hackers can officially change the password and email with eaze.
With email verification I believe you can still change the email first then, get the code afterwards to do any account changing. I just think this new update made things worse in everyway possible and made it good in two ways possible.

no, for them to change ur pass they cnt just kno ur old pass, u cant enter the personal information to even see it unless u send a e-mail code to your e-mail, you then have to log onto your e-mail account and use the provided link to enter the code and then it directs you to the log in screen, once you log in you can then change ur personal info, but this only lasts 2 hours, after that you must get another code, for them to change ur shit they must also kno the apssword and e-mail of ur e-mail account, otherwise they can nly rob ur stuff but not take ur char too. This is a much safer way.
