well, to be more precise, it's my brother's account, but it had a tonne of my stuff on it.

What happened was, my brother and I had taken about a month off sro to prepare for exams, today we tried to log on to his account in the game (this account was made in early beta, had a symbol in the username) and we get the message that the password is wrong. Tried again, checked spelling, still wrong.

Then we tried http://www.silkroadonline.net to see what's going on, try the same username and password there, this time we get the message that "The ID does not exist. Please join member."

Now at this point we're both understandably pissed off and worried about what's happened, since i've lost in excess of 100mil of items from that acc, and he's lost his character.

Has this happened to anyone else, has JM acknowledged this problem, any way to fix it? All help greatly appreciated

PS: I would put this in the technical issues section, but no-one reads that.

Go to http://www.joymax.com and then go to Forgot your ID or Password button then go to the bottom and enter your Id + email you had in it...

Then enter secret answer and you should be good, unless some1 changed the acc with email then your screwed

if i try it there it says it can't find the ID either.

It's not about me/my brother not knowing the account details, it seems like they've been erased from silkroad's database.

well there you ansswered your own question...it has either been deleted from the system or you are using teh wrong ID

i know they have some policy for accounts not used for a long time. They may just wipe them.

on official forums people are talking about accounts with less than 6 letters are shown as not existing..

Well, it has more than 6 letters, but one of those letters is a "`"

But if similar things happening to more than just one person, that might increase the odds of it being fixed.

also, i'm 100% sure that I'm using the correct ID. We've been using the account since first beta, and it was only a month ago since it was last used... not that long.
