i don't know but the time i started playing sro there were less bots than real player, that was ofcourse 19 months ago(athens was the newest server then). Since the 80 cap botting became a norm. You know what's our guild motto when pacific opened 2 months after 80 cap? it was "Grind against all odds".
Can u imagine i'm lvl 53 grinding beside yetis just waiting for one paticular heshade to spawn coz i can't find any spot to grind with bcoz all the heshade and ishade areas was infected with bots?
Then a week later i'm grinding penons when someone globaled saying "anyone hand grinding on ice pm me", so i pm'ed him, then the next global he made says "there were only 2 ppl pm'ed me and said they were hand grinding", WTF does that mean all the ppl besides me were botting??

I get always very sad, when some friends of mine (all buying gold And/or botting) complain about the traffic they are the main reason for it..

I think JM won't take any actions against bots anymore. They would loose hella lot of money becease most players/silkbuyers would quit if they couldn't bot anymore . JM realized that there only problem was server traffic, SO LET'S MAKE PREMIUM TICKETS BABEH~!

and JM just made the login worst for legit players cuz u get the Confirmation Code on the first time u press "login" then u dc and need to restart SRO.

lets just say botters dont need to do a big parts of what legits need to do

its too late joymax had a chance to change isro, but they didnt. they had a chance to make isro like 70 cap, but the didnt. they had a chance to make more revenue off this game than ever b4, but they didnt. Now they will have another chance to make things right, but have they let it get so bad that the problems are ireversable. NO! they havnt; because, they dont have to. why dont they have to, you, ask? well simple because the isro community [only a handfull of legits ] isnt worth it anymore. The bots run around everywhere, players buy gold [support gold bots] then complain about the server traffic they are causing; then, player bots bot 2 80 and make claims of legitamacy. ISRO HAS FALLEN FROM THE HIGHEST PEDESTAL!!

i know they dont ban botters that admit it.. i have sent in S/S after S/S and videos and so on and still nothing gets done..

on alps they even bot with there sun on..

you know this game would kick any mmorpg ass if they fixed the problems.

plz all stop whining about that, that botters complain about traffic !!! u cause the traffic as well its not 100% botters online. and those who are causing traffic are the clientless bots all those with names like dfgdfg, these r bots of the gold companys... after euro update there was no traffic but there were bots i can tell u that only when clientless bot was updated the traffic was back.

My favorite was at a generals auto-share party.

Some guy asked if we could move the party (7 people excluding him) to another spot because "his bot doesn't work properly here."

My jaw dropped... lol, alot of botters really aren't afraid to admit it anymore. Where as it use to be an insult - it's now just actual fact.

Still hopin' one day the Joymax Prophecy will come true... I ain't holding my breath but, that's for sure.

If i make a screen shot saying in chat "I BOT" it wont get me banned. not such a problem editing pic to b like that.

the turning point for botters to actually admit they bot was the day some botting guild used "being a legit player" as an insult to me and my guild after a war. haha. i thought that was really hilarious, then they left saying they need to go bot some more and how they are "cool" because they bot.

i also know of a certain player in greece that has been TRYING to convince legits to bot....

you seem 2 have misread my post, i, clearly stated that the gold bots cause traffic: they are causing the traffic [gold buyers] because they give the clientless gold bots the fuel they need 2 keep botting for gold.



i know its not 100% player bot.

the player bot - to player ratio is like 2:1
or 3:1

the gold bot 2 players in general [player bots, and handgrinders] is like 20:1. the problem as you stated is: alas when bots are banned servers are populated and easy;so, maybe that puts things into perspective for you. player bots simply add wood to the fire that is ISRO, but they arent the bulk of that wood.

I talk to a lot of players because I like getting involved with jobbing with all levels, and let me tell you, it's not "everyone bots" as you like to think it is.

I worded that wrong Lol. Mostly every1 bots and the ones that don't have lost all hopes so they don't have the spirit to send a threat because they know it's in vain.

Every mmorg has its problems, not just SRO.

Even the almighty WoW has its problems, not as much as SRO. but its my choice to keep playing it and hanging out with my friends.

not the new ones...yet. And Perfect World even has a report this person/report bot function . SRO needs one of those

I believe that tSRO has an open bot server policy for one of its servers, and in another version of SRO I've heard Joymax sells gold. If Joymax sells gold and has an open bot policy, that would probably cure everything...except, no one would buy premium.

Mmm...a pickle indeed: catter to the 5 or 6 legits per server (SOME of whom MAY buy silk) or to the 400-500 player botters (all of whom are willing to buy silk since most are paying for their bots). From a buisness perspective, this isn't exactly a difficult choice.

Yeah it's pretty sad how proud some people are of their bots. I've been in guilds where there were often 10 - 15 guildmates online all talking in guild chat about their bot and how "great" it is, blahblah...

I say, if you're not going to play the game, log off. Leave a slot for someone else that wants to play. People don't want to take the time to play a game that requires a LOT of time to play. Pick a different game. There are plenty out there.

Purified was caught before the new bot policy (i.e. "We [Joymax] don't care, just buy silk")...he already has a new account and is high level...

I'm not sure about any other servers, but at least on Oasis, the GMs are never on...ever. There are NO bot bannings; I have seen afk botter there for days at a time. Maybe after the GNWCC (or whatever the name is) is over, we'll get a "mass banning" meaning a bunch of the gold bots would be banned. Player bots aren't really the people I blame for the crowded servers. Gold bots are...

Players bots can use one of three, iSRO, tbot, or softmod. The third one has multiclienting, but it's limited to two characters only. If you are caught cracking the client to be able to multiclient more then you are banned from using it. Unlike Joymax, they actually have an active ban policy.

Gold bots though, have 20-40 bots per computer (not 100s as some claim). The software is available for free if you can read Taiwanese. But...100 of these people mean a crowded server.

And...auto reply...does NOT work...if a player is afk and is pmed (if miraculously a GM is on the server and miraculously decides to do something and miraculously pms a player bot (which would be hard to find since there are so many gold bots >.>)) he will be banned for certain.

Look at the image above if you don't believe, but GMs pm to check, it's just that in addition to the pm you get a notice.

The mass bans are just accumulated. There's going to be a mass ban in probably another two months, hence no monthly bans. Furthermore, they don't look at "modified clients" or else all "legits" would have been banned a while ago since pk editing is a modified/corrupted client or at least should be seen that way.

softmod can open 2+ now.
some guildmembers open like 3 or 4 clients.
