Soo...
Two nights ago, I downloaded Saw III. Stayed up until 2:00 watching it.
Then yesterday night, I consecutively watched Saw I and Saw II.
I think I'm going to go and watch Saw IV in a few days, since it just came out today / yesterday?
I'm not easily scared by any standards, but honestly... that shit just creeped me out. Those that've seen Saw III know what I'm talking about. I didn't know what to expect, seeing as it was my first Saw movie, and at the very beginning, you see the guy severing his freaking foot off. Then it leads to a whole variety of delightful and very vivid deaths.
Do you guys think things like that really happen in the real world? Things like in Saw and in Hostel?
On a side-note, I'm wanting to watch Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Don't know if I can keep on going like this though, haha. Could anybody who's seen it tell me if it's really scary? Scarier than Saw? I know I'm kind of sounding like a wimp now, but that's the thing - I love to watch horror movies, but then again, I hate to watch them. Doesn't make any sense, does it?

the only thing that ever creeped me out in saw was when The big latino guy threw the chick into the pit of needles...i couldn't stop squirming, i don't like needles....
and probably only in the most civilized parts of the world if at all. I forget where but someone once said the more civilized we become the more brutal our forms of entertainment.

It's been awhile since a movie has truly scared me. I mostly watch horror movies for the suspense, even though 90% of the time it's too predictable to be that entertaining.

Haha that's the exact same with me, I try not to watch them but if you get me into a room with one playing, I can't seem to leave. But then I have nightmares for like a month >> But a good scary movie was The Shining.

I watched Hostel with mrFudge.. he knows im a wimp and squeamish, and when the guy went to stand up out of the chair thing when the guy was letting him go.. I tried to hide my face but MrFudge was ike "No this is funny, look, its not bad"
Then he started falling apart when he stood up.. *flinch*
I cried.
We didn't watch any more of that.
Never seen any of the Saw movies, never have any desire to. I've hearda lot, and I HATE needles, so.. T_T

It's thrilling, you get all pumped up. It's like asking why people go on rollercoasters.

I'm freaked out as hell by most R horror movies. PG-13 horrors don't scare me at all, but most R's do. But I still love to watch them. Jezus, I remember that part. Where the guy with the salad fingers cuts his Achilles tendons, and you see him trying to stand up. Then they zoom in on his ankles and... just, no.
Off to sleep, guys. If I can, anyway. Can't get that image of that old man, Jigsaw, in Saw III getting his throat slashed, and Xavier (that Latino guy you mentioned, Xemnas) in Saw II getting his slashed as well. There's just something about all this blood pouring out from a long slit in your throat that gets to me.

Well the saw series differ from Texas chainsaw. If you can't stomach the gore then atleast see Saw I, very little gore. Saw I had a good plot with a unexpected twist, Saw II was alright. Saw III was a dissapointment, zero plot and focused just on the twisted torture scenarios. Saw 4 I "saw" last night. It actually surprised me. I was going into it with pretty low expectations. It actually had a plot and a decent twist to it. But back to your question, I don't really put saw and texas under the same catagory. Texas is more "scary" while saw is more predictable with very little cheap scares. With saw it's whether you can stomach the graphic torture the victims go through as opposed to Texas.

Ok Fena,
Saw IV is more of a suspense movie, Thus i watched it about 1 hour again and it creeped me out.
My local cinema says this:
Jigsaw and his apprentice Amanda are dead. Now, upon the news of Detective Kerry’s murder, two seasoned FBI profilers, Agent Strahm and Agent Perez, arrive in the terrified community to assist the veteran Detective Hoffman in sifting through Jigsaw’s latest grizzly remains and piecing together the puzzle. However, when SWAT Commander Rigg is abducted and thrust into a game, the last officer untouched by Jigsaw has but ninety minutes to overcome a series of demented traps and save an old friend or face the deadly consequences.
Rigg's citywide pursuit leaves a wake of dead bodies, and Detective Hoffman and the FBI uncover long hidden clues that lead them back to Jigsaw's ex-wife Jill (Betsy Russell). The genesis of Jigsaw's evil is unveiled, exposing the puppet master's true intentions and the sinister plan for his past, present and future victims.

If they made a movie someone has thought of it some r just way over the top but the types of death are more then possible like ripping of the jaw or cutting there stomach
a good prank is tie ur friend dont talk dont do sh6t throw him in a unknowable basement play the saw tape dub it with pc tie him 2 the chair wait till u c him cry then tell him it was all a joke
good way 2 lose a friendship but very funny imo

*sigh* If only they were actually scary :\ Guess it's kind of cool going back and showing diff things that build up the story line plus twists but meh....They try and gross people out it's not even close to being scary.
Watched 4 parts of the new one online 5th didn't work, terrible quality but got the story for the most part. Just upped the gore factor a few notches nothing I haven't seen before, still only decent movie out there. For me anyways =.='
They need to lay off the camera shaking. Miss all the good stuff

Someone came up with the story. Sure as hell there are freaks who got no problems doing those stuff.
I seen a Saw movie once. Was okay as a movie, but the ideas were so disturbing. No idea which one I saw, but it was the one where that girl has to drive in a pit full of needles to find one special one. God I hated that scene.

you should try old horror flicks, not the new 2000' ones. new ones just play loud music to scare you, or show gruesome scenes.. older flicks without such technology actually scares you for what it is, they don't need so many special effects

I've only seen Saw II out of them all which i didnt find scary at all. Out of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre films i've only seen Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning which is quite disturbing and gory but in my opinion isnt really scary.
Some people might find these films scary but for some reason i dont get scared easily instead i end up laughing.

Indeed, i find most horror films 'n' whatnot funny. Thats why i watch them, its a good laugh. I remember when i watched the hills have eyes remake, i was laughing from the beggining, lol. Dude gets a pick axe (if i remember rightly) shoved in his back and gets swung around in the air, hilarious!

Ju-On : The Curse
Must be the most damned low budget horror movie ever to get me THAT scared as I was in the moment I saw that...
too much suspense for my heart
Saw Saw (lol) didnt really much scared me...
Shining got bored and saw some of the most "scary" scenes and it didnt really scare me...
The grudge (based on ju-on) put me laughing in the cinema =P
Really, if you want to get scared, then see Ju-On: The CURSE (not grudge, CURSE )
Damn movie, this is one of those that you say that its awesome, but you cant just see it again because ITS TOO SCARY! xD
just see the reviews at imdb :X
