Honor Buffs

Anyone have an idea as to how frequently honor rankings/buffs are updated for sure? Is it on a daily basis or after every inspection?

I previously had not had any honor points, within the passed week I have accumualted 117, on my server that should be good enough for 2x-3x ranking (i've asked players in that distribution their totals...). I've had that amount for 2 - 3 days now and I've still not received any honor buffs.

Is there something I'm missing? I have 3 grads and I was under the impression that the rankings were sorted by points and were updated daily. Is there anything on my end that I have to do in order to activate the buffs or must there be any other requirement fulfilled that I didn't mention?

Any input would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

No it doesnt.

It updates everyday at 4pm GMT. or 5pm GMT, im confused since the clocks went back. But before the clocks went back it was 4pm GMT, which i think (not sure) is 2am SRO time.

Still think its weekly...after inspection, its been proved before.

Were your graduates over level 30? If they were, you get points for them, but they dont count toward ranking.

No, its definately daily, my academy master is on his gold buffs, we work in a team with 3 other academies, 2 on silver, one on bronze buffs. We check everyday at 4pm to see the changes. Its defenately daily. Definately.

And you have 117 HP, so i guess all 3 of your grads went from 1-40. As you get 1point per level, 1-40. From the discussions we've had along the lines of "I have more HP than you, i want gold buffs too dammit" we think that its some sort of average between honour points you have and graduates. So maybe the people at 2x 3x have less honour points, but maybe they have 5 grads or something. Get another grad, by the sounds of it that should give you your bronze buffs

The rank is updated each day but I dont know the exact time. Be sure that you have enough honor points to get on the ranking because at next day that I got my second graduate I was on the rank (on those time there where less than 50 people on the rank so Ive entered directly after having 2 graduates). Moreover, during this week Ive lost the gold buff and I have it after last inspection.

Well, the thing is, i should be up there regardless, let me explain.

The 22nd place guy has 5 grads with 117 honor points, I have 3 grads with 117 honor points (all were sub 30s...). I could see where you might be coming in with the average between grads and honor points, but, the 30th ranked guy is the highest guy on the list with 3 grads, therefore, I should be AT LEAST 30th/31st, seeing as I have the maximum amount of honor points you can have with only 3 grads... So regardless, if there're several people on that list with only 3 grads, I should definetly be on there. I think I hit my 3rd grad either Friday/Saturday night, which means there's been at least 2 or 3 "silkroad time" changes since then... It looks as if it updates daily because I've been checking the rankings out daily recently and seem to catch changes (not that i've pinpointed anyone). Hopefully it updates after inspection i guess...

If i understood you correctly, hes the highest rank person with 3 grads, then we should assume he has 117 honour as well. Theres only 2 things that I can see that would make him 30th and you not in the top 50.

1) He was an assisstant guardian before and has more than 117 points, as he ot 10% from his previous academy.
2) Maybe its also based on the guild master's level and hes a much lower level than you?

Other than that i cant see an explanation

Yup, that's correct... I'm currently lvl 78, I was probably 77 when I hit 3... He's high 70s as well, not 80 yet either... I'll be getting my 4th grad in today/tomorrow so... and inspection will be coming up as well, but, with my luck i'll probably be the one to be bugged... lol.

Ok, after simply just reading the material regarding the guardian system on the website it seems that YES, honor ranks are updated daily at 00:00:00 Silkroad time. BUT, I am not so sure that the rankings (1-50) are determined by Honor POINTS, it seems as though it's determined by honor GRADE.

So, my question is what the hell is honor GRADE and how do you increase it? It seems as though it goes from 5 ---> 1 (with 5 being a "low rank" and 1 being "a high or good rank").

My honor grade is currently "5", i'm assuming honor grade is based on the rating you get from your graduates? Maybe other things?

Any new ideas?

Honor rankings are updated at 0000 hrs sro time gmt+9, and after every server inspection.

Rankings are determined by two things, honor points and grad ratings (which you get assessed after an apprentice graduates). Too many very unsatisfied grades and you will be taken off the honor rankings. There is usually a grace period of until the next honor rankings update before someone looses a spot on the honor rankings. So if you suddenly got 5 graduates and 195 honor points, and you dont see your name on the honor rankings after the update (assuming 195 points is enough), just wait for the next update. This happened to a guild mate once, and I think theres a 24 hour grace period before someone will loose their spot on the honor rankings.

Sylhana, i see that what you say can be true (it probably is). But then I go back to the fact that there's a guy on the list at 31st rank with only 3 grads. There are a couple other people with only 3 grads as well from 4x-5x. With that in mind, I've gotten the full amount of points for all 3 of MY grads (make that 4 with the one I got today AFTER the time change), which means I got a "very satisfied" rating from all of my grads thus far...
So therefore, I really don't see anything that could possibly distinguish those guys from my situation, keeping in mind that I have the max everything "grade"/points you can have for 3 grads (this has been true for me since last friday, so several "updates" have gone by).

The only thing I noticed was that I had a guardian apprentice (who i just removed today) which gets 10% of my honor points (i don't think it subtracts from mine though, but simply gives him 10% of what i get)...

Just a quicky question...

2500 Honor Points for that 8D Sun Honor Weapon... is that achievable?

Another question... when you get 2,500 honor points will you use it to get that 8D weapon or save it for 9D Honor weapon which could need 4,000 honor points?

I have yet to see an honor weapon in Xian...
Does anyone have a screen shot of the Honor Points required for the 9th Degree Sun weapon?

For all of you who do not care lol... I offically got up to silver buffs after today's update with 4 grads/156 honor points (I still don't know why it took this long.)

The idea of the academy is great, but it just gives another method for botters to get ahead in this game. The ongs and the ice are filled 95% with afk people. Now before this academy idea no one cared about the noobs, now that is an excuse to plvl people. People complain there are no low lvl euro sox, well duh you dont earn drops when plvling. People complain that they cant find good parties, well duh they dont know how to play thier characters, they only know how to accept an auto-share party after that they get confused. I wish this was never implemented, just gives the botters another reason to bot. /end rant
