I don't know exactly how it works all I know is that, a warlock in our guild went out there to test dmg with some of our wizards and clerics, all of the wizards nuke and clerics offering did way more dmg after the warlock had debuffed the mangyang.

Well thats good enough proof for me. Must be different to how I assumed they calculated the reduction then. Just by reading that, it's not % based but absolute defense reduction. I'll do some experiments and come up with a better formula.
