Since most people want it to be 1.6, it will be 1.6.
And it will be a professionally hosted server, so yes it will have VAC.

Well FoCA already has a Source server we can use if you guys wanna play on that on a separate night. One night could be Source and another night 1.6 :p

wasnt it so that the average human eye can see around 60fps and the trained
gamers eye can see around 75fps?
i never put my framerate above 60, never sucked for me

1525 damage killing 6 people in 1 round. 
Most i've killed in a round i think was 10 in a 32 man server so 16 a side. I could have a much better score than my 34-6 but the maps are only 20 mins long before the map changes.

one thing i like about it is the maps ( the top left ones in game)
I don't like how it sometimes shows where the enemy is.

Any night is good for me. I don't feel like downloading 1.6 onto my steam acc so source it is.
And for the "human eye can only see X amount of FPS" that's totally wrong. Your eyes will be able to tell the difference as long as your monitor's refresh rate is high enough to display the frames.
