Does anyone know how the SoStar SoMoon and SoSun weapon & armor drops work out, based on the level/degree of the monster you are fighting/the items it drops?

i think its random

there isn't really a sytem i think, but ofcourse a mangyang won't drop a 8 deg SUN.

I'm pretty sure sox only drop for one degree below, the same degree, or one degree above the mob you kill.

Then I could get a SoS 7d glavie from bunwangs...

Once I got a SoS glavie degree 6 from a giant yeowa (the lvl 36-37 mobs)

i know someone who got sosun 32 bow from bunwangs

So then I guess you could get up to SoSun of the degree below, probably up to SoMoon of the degree you're on, and SoS of the degree above?

i knew someone who got lvl 64 SOS spear from ice warriors.

and another one got 42 SUN bow also from ice warriors.

Long ago on Aege I got a lvl 24 sos spear from a Tiger. They don't even drop D3 weapons, so it might not be just 1 degree above/below.

No there arent. Ive beenplaying sro since beta i never seen a yeowa giant. Screeny or it never happen ?

monsters only drop certain lvl armors weapons and accessories etc, theres some list some, i just forget where, ill look for it.


but each different monster drops items of varying lvls, like bungwangs only drop lvlxx-xx weapons and only yy-yy armors etc (xx-xx means like lvl44-46)

it is, a friend of mine dropped sosun blade at earth ghost soldiers,the lv 64-65mobs in cave xD dunno the exact name.

Sun drops from degree above.. very rare to drop from the same degree...

then its not random if it was random you could get a sosun degree 8 from mangyangs.

I got a 16 SOS shield from level 14-15 monster so..

All drops are random. There isn't really an order on what Sox drop from mobs... however you do know that Lv.1-2 mobs drop 1D gear and so on... but with Sox, completely random.

i once got a 53 sos shoulder while killing white spiders at hotan... think its like sos above ur degree.... never dropped a som/sun hope for a sun sword :$)

sos = mob BELOW the degree (ie. a sos 64 starts to drop by a lvl 5x)
som = mob SAME as the degree (ie. som 64 starts to drop by a lvl 6x)
sosun = mob ABOVE the degree (ie. sosun 64 starts to drop by a lvl 7x)

That's usually how it works, but of course sometimes it's random, on xian, the first sun bow was dropped by karras, and some people have gotten only sos from them also

yeh its random because i once got a SoS lv 20 tasset from a young tiger.

some people did you ever hear of someone get a degree 8 item from degree 2 mobs?

i've only got 1 sos ever in SRO, ive played almost a year now, but sometimes when im in a exp share/ exp item share, i've gotten 2.

the drop is random but the kind of drop falls within certain parameters of mob lvl and item type

Listen, the stronger the monster, the more the reward was, if you fight giant, party monsters you'll get more chance to get them(I didn't say a high chance like 80% or 90%, still 10-15%) that in giant, party monsters, with normal monsters you'll get a chance of 3% 2% of a sos/som/sun drop.
Keep playing and you'll get one.
Lets take me for example, i'm now lvl 24 86% xp and never got SOS and a week ago i got my first *SOS*.
Needs alot of patience.

party mobs sometimes doesnt even drop gold, juz pots (white to me)
